  1. I used to work there in the factory, and I can vouch for the workers and quality, too bad the owner is a screaming schizo on meds... but hey, they make a good product. If I ever get rich, I hope I don't intimidate and belittle the people around me like Jeff Carnevali does. Ok, personal rant is over, sorry. They do make the best mounts around, though.
  2. Got mine, looks awesome... thanks!
  3. Maybe take the GPS apart carefully, and see if you can push it out with a paperclip from the inside end of the jack.
  4. It just happened. I sent a bug into the world from Washington state. It was supposed to go to Mexico, and made it to the Napa area of California. A newbie picked it up, (their first geocache) and dropped it in DELAWARE !!! a couple days later. Oh well, we'll see what happens now. Pulpito Perez
  5. Like a lot of people, I got a GPS on Christmas. While researching GPS stuff on the internet, I kept coming across the term "geocaching". Two days after Christmas, I was scouring my neighborhood for caches under cover of darkness, and the rest is history.
  6. dadgum guys... Without taking sides on this matter, I have noticed these forums to often have a snotty tone to them, from a lot of different posters. I haven't seen this type of problem in other forums I belong to. Most of us are adults here, right? So why is it that so many times on thes forums, peoples posts don't represent that maturity? Now is the part where everyone sharpens their axes and pitchforks, and chases me into the hills screaming "Love it or leave it". I really like it here, but I think if people were less snarky, and more helpful... it would do us all some good. I am not directing that comment at any one person, just us Geocachers as a whole.
  7. I have seen threads where generous people gave a new collector a geocoin, and thought I'd just ask too. Can't hurt to ask, right? I don't have any to trade, otherwise I wouldn't be asking for a handout. If you are selling any, I might still be interested too. Personal coins are even better!
  8. Deleting my double post here...
  9. I'd probably be game for it.
  10. This has happened to me, and I deleted my track history, or as a last resort- waypoints, to clear up some memory, and things went back to normal. I suspect it may not have enough room to store the satellite. info. I may be wrong, but this is the only way I could bypass this problem. Start by deleting all tracks, especially if you have a lot of info stored on the GPS. Hope it helps.
  11. Is it possible to make it to the Seattle waterfront? That is where I work, and the easiest meeting place for me... I could offer free temporary parking while you picked it up. Or we can try somewhere else... I have to do a truck run in South Park on Fri. morning, is that a better place to meet?
  12. I am holding a long inactive TB that need's to go to Oregon. The cache isn't on your way but you could find a cache on I-5 in Oregon near the highway. You might be the best hope for this TB. Need's to go here: A Woman's View GC5EAE This is the TB: Magenta
  13. I used to work here: RAM MOUNT , and they make what you need. They don't sell retail, so you have to find the model numbers on their website, and go to a dealer website, like gps city. Hope this helps.
  14. Somewhere along the BCM2, I hit #100. I wish I could remember where, though. Oh well, it was ALL fun.
  15. I have put together a download page, BCM2 Downloads with a GPX file, and a PDB file (Cachemate) based on the list MrGigabyte put together. 105 caches, not including the BCM2 twice, and not including the restaurant and the disabled cache. The GPX is zipped and ready for GSAK, and the PDB is ready to install to your Palm. I hope this helps, and hope to see you this weekend!
  16. This is one of two webcam caches I have found, and it is currently offline. The website says they would like to hear from people who want to keep it online. If you have found it, or you want to - why not fire off an email and support this cache? I just thought I'd let everyone know. Caution! Low Flying Fish The Webcam page pikeplacefish@pikeplacefish.com
  17. I'd be in for at least 100. Are you getting different colors? I might want to actually play poker with some of mine... I sent a PM to you, check your inbox.
  18. The dollar store sells batteries for... you guessed it - $1.00. I am going to try to leave these behind in the more remote caches I visit. You never know when someone is going to really need them.
  19. Where'd you get the cable? Will it work with a M505?
  20. I have access to a box truck with a lift gate, but I have to "borrow" it on a Saturday or Sunday... I am the only driver with permission to drive it, but technically it's only for work use... but this may be a worthwhile exception. I would be willing to pick up some (or all?) ammoboxes, but I must be reimbursed with gas money & ammo boxes, (maybe a cut of the profits?) We would have to make this a quick trip, i.e. 2 destinations: 1. Pick up, and 2. Drop off. If it's on pallets, it would make things alot easier too. I don't have a pallet jack, but I bet they have one there. We would need one to drop them off, but maybe uhaul rents them? If this sounds like a plan, let me know. If not, I still am good for 10 ammoboxes.
  21. Wow! Finally, a reply to this forgotten thread! Actually, I found a cracked version of a photoviewer, but I am in need of a email conduit/program still. Thanks for the advice though, and I liked your movie, by the way!
  22. I have seen AA batteries in 4 packs for 99 cents. These would be useful to a geocacher, even if they aren't the longest lasting ones.
  23. No one is attacking you, man. Don't be so argumentative. You need to look at the whole picture...There was a polite request to modify your post, so why not be polite, and modify your post. It's only a game/hobby, and the deleter of the post has every right to delete your post... fair or not. Just modify your post, and move on in life. Just my 2 cents, take it, or LEAVE IT.
