  1. Well DanOCan, I think you hit it right on the head for me when you said {my log says "Found It", not "Signed It"}. I was leaning this way but had to check the general consensus. In my younger days streaking was fun, now I might just scare everyone. Team_State
  2. Looking for some advice. Recently completed a 100 day streak challenge and decide to see how far this will continue. I was in area that had several caches. I scouted out the area and spotted the other caches (but did not open or sign log) . Would it be ok to come back for these on days where we are running late and may not be able to find other cache. Thanks for any thoughts on this, Team_State
  3. Geocaching.com states: Do Challenges increase my Geocaching.com find count? Yes. Challenge completions and geocache finds are combined in your total stats count. However, you can hover over anyone's count to see how many caches and challenges the user has found and completed. They may be added in your count but don't seems to be added to your stats. I happen to be on a streak and only did a challenge today so it looks like my streak is over. Maybe not got 6 hours left of the day to go find another catch. I hope this is an oversite, if counted in your totals they should be counted in your stats. Team_State
  4. I came across a cache 7 weeks back, that was place in an old dumping ground of scrap metal. The cache was placed inside some of the scarp metal. To me this seems like a very poor choice of location. My found log of this cache stated: Be sure you are up to date on your tetanus shots. There is a lot of rusty metal here in this old dumping grounds. This is the first time I would have to say "please move the cache to new spot" there is so many great places along these bike trails. Of coarse the cache owner prompltly deleted my log enter. I emailed the cache owner the following: I don't know why you deleted my cache log for Rusty Hole. Please explain. Most cache owners appriciate both positive and negitive feedback on there caches. It helps for future caches to make our sport booth fun and reasonably safe. Received no responce from CO. I then email the reviewer of the cache all the info, he stated I don't settle disputes between cachers. I don't look as this as a dispute, but as a unsafe cache. This is supose to be a family friendly sport/hobby. I love a cache with a little danger surounding it, as long as the cache description gives warning. Ok I'll stop venting.
