I put the question in the general Communications thread, as HQ or lackeys remain silent in this thread:
-
Ok, could you please explain to the geocaching community worldwide why all these issues occured at the cache pages? For the time being I have seen no messages from HQ or lackeys at all in the threads about the website bugs. Geocaching is a major hobby for many of us, for you it's work as well. I hope to geocache for many years to come. It would be nice to know whether it was a technical failure or someone who pressed the wrong button. In any case, something to learn from for HQ. Yours sincerely, Birdie.NL

Changing coordinates in Mystery and Multi caches
Birdie.NL replied to speakers-corner's topic in General geocaching topics
Oddly enough, an update of notes and coordinates by https://www.certitudes.org/certify does work ... So somewhere between front end and back end is a knot -
I found the problem: again Groundspeak is juggling with cookies. If you allow all cookies, all seems to function fine With only "Necessary""and "Preferences" - several fuunctions like direct log viewing and personal notes malfunction.
-
Yes, I have the same problems on Firefox - Windows 11 No logs appear on any cache page - beneath "Sorting' I also cannot save any personal notes.
-
The cookie problem occurs again - just essential and preferential cookies should be enough to have a working Recaptcha.

At https://www.geocaching.com/pocket/default.aspx the button for the My Finds Query can be clicked but does not activate the desired query (normally shown by a green message). I have to deselect ViolentMonkey temporarily to get a My Finds Query (mainly used to update my GSAK database). Of course I can use functions in GSAK as well to have it up-to-date.

The message center page shows no contents, user list or messages. I use latest Firefox 95 on Windows 11. Same result with Edge Versie 97.0.1072.55
-
Message center stays empty: with Firefox 95.0.2 (64-bits) on Windows 11

Now Groundspeak has to be consequent: only 1 symbol per lab cache is visible, so it should count as only 1 found, despite having up to 10 stages. That is also a way to keep the map as clean as possible, and not overrate every stage of a lab cache. I do not mind if this means lab caches at Mega Events are not counted, unless you have completed the whole bunch. Cache quality should count, not mere quantity.

Works again in Windows 10 and Firefox - thnx

Hallo boys and girls in Seattle, please solve this annoyance.
-
I also dislike advertising cookies. I used the email method to reach my fellow geocacher. Accepting, opening message center and then rejecting the ad cookies seems to work, but is not a permanent solution.

And yes, I'm premium member for 10 years So do not play fool

Another check: still blank on Windows 10 version 2004, Firefox 83.0 (64-bits) Same on Chrome Versie 87.0.4280.88 (Officiële build) (64-bits) Same on Microsoft Edge Versie 87.0.664.57 (Officiële build) (64-bits)

I try to contact a fellow geocacher by way of the message center: https://www.geocaching.com/account/messagecenter It stays totally blank .... So is there some hick-up in the code of at the servers ? Tried Firefox and Chrome - without any improvement. Please repair this bug a.s.a.p.

Je kunt ook via filters op naam zoeken: ik neem aan dat je https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC8XX3Q bedoelt

La solution c'est: Adopt or transfer a cache: https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=54 https://www.geocaching.com/adopt/

Possible bug in adventure lab builder
Birdie.NL replied to Crazedllama's topic in Creating Adventures
It definitely is a bug - I used my Garmin GPS to determine the coordinatinates on site. -
I was on Firefox 72, now on version 73. Also disabled the only add on (ViolentMonkey) But no better result yet

I try to print some multi caches, but only images come through. Almost all text seems to disappear. Has something changed to the lay-out of the cache pages. I use the "No logs" option and the default print option in Firefox - which used to produce the goods. Already tried it on different computers and different printer - to no avail
