I'm an avid mountain biker and when the weather is crap (like it is right now on VI) I watch so biking vids onine. I stumbled across this vid and though it was pretty cool how a professional mtb vid from a high end mtb brand included geoaching. Enjoy!

That feeling when you hear a large crack in the bush nearby

Favorite Caching Clothes?
Darren V replied to AmphibianTrackers's topic in General geocaching topics
Wow. I clicked on this topic to see who would be the first wise guy to say "nothing". Turns out it was the first reply. -

Please do NOT make bush hides a FAVORITE
Darren V replied to ventura_kids's topic in General geocaching topics
I'm a mountain biker. If I'm riding a really fun trail and end off the ride with an ammo can in the bush I'm gonna favourite it - for the trail and the experience of the day -
Oh, false alarm...only a temporary change so they can track down what's been making the site so slow: http://feedback.geocaching.com/forums/75775-geocaching-com/suggestions/2185139-restore-found-count?ref=title

Is it just me or is the find count removed from the log pages?

Challenges should be Challenging
Darren V replied to ATXTracker's topic in General geocaching topics
I actually issued my first challenge today (I haven't completed any yet because none of the worldwide ones are good imo, and my area didn;t have any). My challenge is to go to a lake in the woods (Heart Lake) and take a pic of you taking a swim - it's a strenuous hike and the water is cold. I think that is a worthy challenge -

-whoa? a topic not realting to challenges?!- I've messaged people before to remove spoilers from logs, just do it politely -
THAT part is NOT going to happen. I can promise you that much. There aren't enough volunteers in the world to take on the task of reviewing those and putting up the fights for those they don't feel are up to it. I didn't understand until recently that the biggest problem with the old virts had to do with disputes with reviewers, and I do not blame the reviewers one bit for not wanting to get entangled in that mess again! Just look at what we've got already, in less than one day. I see you only quoted half my comment

Bring back virtuals... the old ones - exactly the same. Except keep some ideas from these challenges like only premium members can create them and a thumps up/down rating system or just a whole "command Z" of this entire update

Good Challenge/Bad Challenge game

A good challenge would be to go to a place that is too sensitive for caches or caches aren't allowed and take a picture of you/your GPS to get a find -__- -

Challenge: Take a hike I went on a hike yesterday - can log it complete? -
Ah-ha! Mount Benson I do believe? A very good (and correct) guess! Mt. Benson looks spectacular, similar to Mt. Wells or Mt. Finlayson here in Victoria. What's the climb like? How long? Thanks, B. Depends on your fitness... I know guys that do it in an hour and a half but I've also done it with people who take 4 hours I personally have only done the hike twice

The GPS is water resistant.... believe me

I have a puzzle cache that was muggled and I want to replace it. However I want to change the original hide (under a rock in the middle of a field) and move the cache into the bush where it won't be muggled. I also want to make the puzzle bigger and harder as it is quite easy right now. Should I archive the current cache and publish a new listing in the same area or just make changes to my current listing? opinions?
