  1. Hmm, I don't really know any Santa Claus Villages in the countries that you mentioned in your posting. The only Santa Claus Village that instantly comes into my mind is the one north of Rovaniemi in Finland... Rest Stop Santa Claus Village Regards, Kiki
  2. I've had too many bad experiences with Google Translate, especially while dealing with foreign language cache listings. Moreover, Google Translate doesn't speak Faroese... Kiki
  3. Hello! When we are caching in non-German-speaking countries, we usually log in English, but try to write at least the phrase "Thanks for the cache" at the end of the log in the local language (especially when we are caching in the Nordic countries). As we are now about to log our caching trip to the Faroe Islands and Iceland that we made back in August 2013, we would kindly like to ask if there any Faroese or Icelandic cachers who could tell us the proper translation for "Thanks for the cache" in Faroese and Icelandic. Thanks in advance for your help! Regards from Germany! Kiki
  4. Hello everyone, when we are caching in non-German-speaking countries, we usually write our logs in English, so that other visitors from abroad (and also the cache owner) can understand us better. However, we usually try to use at least a few words of the local language when we express our thanks for the cache in our log entry! This works quite well for the Nordic countries, as we've already been caching there several times. But now that we're just logging a cache trip that took us to some countries like Poland, Hungary and Slovenia, we're a bit puzzled about how to thank the owner in those languages in a proper way! So I'd like to ask you for your help - let's collect all the different languages! I'll start with German: Vielen Dank für den Cache! Thanks in advance for your help! Kiki
  5. Just curious if those "high priority issues" are still keeping you busy...
  6. As for Belgium, Spain and Portugal, one can still choose "search all" without having to focus on a certain state or province. Why has this feature been disabled for Germany?
  7. Sounds like good news! Thanks a lot, Raine!
  8. Not if the coords for one or more of the waypoints are hidden... It really sucks when you're out on a caching trip and notice that none of the tasks show up in your PDA, because the owner has just written them into the waypoint description! Reviewers tend to contact cache owners for several things that are "wrong" with their caches. Why don't they also tell those owners to add the tasks to the description before publishing the cache?
  9. Seems to have disappeared with the recent changes... Let's hope that it'll show up again...
  10. Right now, all the people on my "Friends List" are listed in the order of their registry date at Geocaching.com ("oldest" members on top). Are there any plans to include a change of the sorting order, e.g. using alphabetic order?
  11. Hmm, new features have been added recently, but there's still no bulk delete feature available... Are there any plans to change this in the near future?
  12. Why do we have to remove caches from the watchlist so slowly - one after another? There are several examples for the use of checkboxes at geocaching.com, like waypoint downloads. We'd be happy if there was a similar solution for the watchlist. Regards, Sanne & Kiki
