  1. I would like Volunteer to be on the Jury. :o;)

I believe the Mac group can not be impartial here either. Due to the influences that the Judge might have on them.

    I faxed the judge:

    1. Volunteer request: DENIED

    2. Change of venue request: DENIED

  2. What I think it what ever sport you do there will be Cheaters. A boss once told me that people like that you have to live with for a short time and they go away. They have to live with themselves for the rest of there lives. I really enjoy this sport and meeting all the people. You can delete someones find on your own cache? I did not know that was possible.

Yes - you can delete or permanently encrypt logs for your caches.

I was one who had some bogus logs. I've sent emails to the "finders" asking them to describe the caches (since I didn't see their names on the log.) Depending on how they respond (or if they respond) - I will delete the logs.

BUT WAIT. I CAN SEE WHAT NASCARFAM IS DOING. Greg is just trying to distract us by keeping this thread about the bogus logs alive. Nice try Greg.

The REAL important issue at hand is the upcoming trial for abducting CVC TAG!!! and taking her outside her boundaries.

If anyone wants to volunteer for jury duty, and can remain impartial ( ;) post your volunteer status here.

Due to recent posts, the judge has declared that "The Hubby" will NOT be selected for the jury and need not volunteer. :o

  3. Also for any of you that do not know Sanruft had hit his 1000th Cache while at the Geowoodstock Event. Once agian Congrats on your milestone.

BOGA - I think you need to have the judge issue a GAG order on Greg. Here he goes, sucking up to the potential jurors. :)

    Oh, yes, C O N G R A T U L A T I O N S to Tim!!

    ;)

  4. Could someone please in English tell me how to insert pictures? I would love to post one of our CVC kids! It's a great picture.

I know you would think I'd know but I don't so help would be greatly appreciated!

    How about a picture instead??

  5. Hi Everyone,

 I just wanted to take a minute to introduce myself. I'm Trysha from Riverbank (near Modesto). I'm a very new cacher, and my exploring buddy is my 9yo daughter, Katie.

    ........text snipped..........

Speaking of WolfGrrl, she's been SO incredibly kind and supportive just via email and answered so many questionns already. She has nothing but good things to say about the CVC'ers so I thought I'd look up the thread and say hello!

I hope to meet many of you soon...thx for letting me pop in!

    Trysha

    Hi Trysha!

Welcome to CVC land! Yes - there are a lot of nice folks in the SOUTH (Ted is a lawyer, so you know he is a paid advocate for the North.)

But, please watch out for WolfGrrl! She is questionable at best. I mean, how many people do you know would stick their head into a toilet seat - just for fun???:lol:

  6. Like I said Earlier, Why are these two always around when Miss Tag is taken out of bounds?:D:anibad::wub:

Well, this time, we had some inside intelligence that a dastardly guy was grabbing tag to take her across county lines. This person actually posted his intensions on Geocaching.com and sent emails when the deed was done.

In a strict sense, is a violation of the Mann Act, which states:

"The United States White-Slave Traffic Act of 1910 banned the interstate transport of females for “immoral purposes.”

Now the same individual is attempting to divert attention away from himself by posting insults against the heroes that rescued poor Tag. :DB)

  7. And as far as being indicted... one of those two fake CVC Tag!!! characters was wearing cloths that matches the dark cloths Tom was pictured in. What were the chances?!! :anibad:

Actually, BOTH of Tag's temporary containers are in the group photo. :D

  8. I think they were trying to get the bird to use for the Tar and feathers. Glad I put a stop to that.

What again did you put a stop to?? :anibad:

getting ahold of the bird for the feathers.

Don't you worry Greg, we have a great selection of feathers already. Likewise, we have plenty of hot tar.

You also just added another charge to your indictment by posting that picture. Finally, you added a third charge by admitting you took 45 minutes to find a 1/1 cache in PLAIN SIGHT! :D:D:D

  9. Did anyone get a picture? Hmmm...nope not me that would mean admitting I took part in it. There is a rumor that a picture was taken with a certain Naked Cacher. Fitting for the forum, sure. Poor...oops almost incriminated myself. :anibad:

Oh Bill you should have been there is right! We all had a blast. We even had a MAC/CVC group photo taken. Just waiting for Tom to post the pics. That reminds me I even took pics of the CVC kids but I do not know how to post a pic here so I will have to email them to Tom. Great times had by all there.

    a. Please see my post on CVC Tag. Tag had quite a time this weekend.

    b. Here's the group picture! Guess which one of these folks was in the bathroom when the picture was taken. :D :D

  10. Is anyone Taking the CVC banner to geowoodstock?

GREAT QUESTION! Who has it? OF? 2 For the Road? BOGA? :anicute::D

Some of the MAC group will be there, leaving Thursday PM, and returning Sunday PM. We would be glad to transport the CVC and MAC banners. :D:D

Finally, speaking of TAKING things to GW VI... who is taking CVC Tag????? :D:D;):anicute:

  11. IS the mac group doing the camping trip this year?

From the MAC Group: Well, Yes, uh - er NO. We are all going to Geowoodstock VI and camping there instead of having our "annual" spring camping event. You will find [some of] us at the Folsom Lake State Recreation Area. But we will have a FALL event in Merced County....:(

  12. Woohoo! Big congrats are in order for Radikel and Boga.............both have gotten to (and passed) 1000 caches found! Good going.........we hope you continue to cache and enjoy it! B)

Also To Wolf Grrl who got 1000 finds, and happend to get her 1000th at the Original Cache. So Congrats to you all. Keep it up. B)B)

YES!! Congrats to Radikel, BOGA, and Wolfgrrl!! Is it PARTY TIME?:(B):P

  13. Thanks NASCAR FAM! I think it would be a huge hit. I say next year as this will be a huge undertaking just to get it off and running. However, I think we have enough great cachers in California and in each region that we could make this work. Not only make it work but be successful, fun, and memorable for everyone.

Great idea but my guess is that California has more cachers in one small area than Texas has in the entire state. That doesn't mean that we should not try it, but I think it should be more regional, at least for the first year.

There are several "already-formed" groups just in Northern California:

    NUTS (Northstate Unusual Tresure Seeksers)

RCGDS (River City Geocaching and Dining Society)

    CVC - Central Valley Cachers

    MAC - Merced Area Cachers

Dry Creek Geocachers (Fresno and Madera)

GBA - Geocachers of the Bay Area

So - if we keep it local, these groups (and there are a couple more) could be the basis.

With so many cachers here, this event could easily turn into a huge event.

Since NUTS and RCGDS are sponsoring GW VI this year, I am sure they could provide lots of tips.

    ;)

  14. I think we may be in attendance for this one.

The Hubby was thinking of putting on a pre-GW6 event. That was until I told him that GW6 is on a Saturday. However, do you think anyone would be interested in a Meet-n-Greet Friday night? Or would that be too much?

Also I was wondering if any one in CVC thought about creating a logo and a website? I have a logo design in mind but can't put it down on paper. I thought it might be nice if we had one and had a banner made up and take it to GW6. I'm sure someone in CVC knows someone that could help with it. Is this something CVC wouldn't be interested in?

CVC Does indeed have a banner. MAC has a campout banner (S'Mores & Snoores.) I do believe we will be able to grab both of them for GW VI. If anyone elese is camping, we have some camping at Folsom Lake SRA - Beal's Point campground. So far it's JPD43, me, 707Guy, Fresgo, Mrs Fresgo and Trekky. No matter where you plan to stay (if you are staying over) - be sure to make reservations NOW. :o

  15. I know there are alot of things going on on the friday before in sacramento area so not sure what a turnout would be. I am up for it. We are not going till saturday morning. I thnk there is a banner that I saw at the one event at the safari and at radicals pizza thing last summer. I noticed that there are quite a few groups around have websites. I would pich in some $$ to help suport a website. I was looking back at forum logs along time ago. It seemed the forum use to be quite active. Maybe we can get it all going agian. Has anyone here ever done a 24hr cache run? Also I have th CVC Tag. I went to almost hte end of the earth to get it. At least that is what Ithought when i was driiving out there and 20 bucks worth the gas I am sure. :o:o lol=== I should have it out in the AM if not before. Hopefully when the Mac groups rides through town it will not end up in that far away land agian. :):) Anyway see some of you tomorrow I am sure.

Before you do decide on an event.... there is already a Meet & Greet Friday night in Roseville. Some of us will be going to that one. CVC TAG will be going to the Huggable Event won't (s)he???? :P

  16. Hi there everyone! I want to give a BIG THANKS to NascarFam for a fun event. I wanted to inform everyone that CVC tag is ready to be found. Ah...I'm saved from the tar and feathering! ;)

I've found, you're never safe from T&F in CVC! :D

Ya Riverbank is pretty close to the Tar and Feather Boarder. ;);):D

PS. Just a reminder there is an Geocaching Event in Valley Springs this Next Saturday. Should be alot of fun.

Uh, BOGA... the reason(s) you get tarrred and feathered have absolutely nothing with borders. It is YOUR CONDUCT and especially yor treatment of CVC Tag that causes your T&F. :drama::drama:

Since I missed the last CVC event, I do plan to make the Valley Springs one. Hope to see everyone there. :)

  17.

I have it on great authority that HappyToBeFirst will NEVER tire of picking on Tom!

    ;)

    Huh?? I don't get it!

Oh wait, now I get it.

a] Bill sent HappytobeFirst a private email (this is 100% true.)

    b] and this is conjecture....

So now, she is sucking up! I bet she saw that he had enough extra cach to buy my pizza - so now she's lobbying so that he will buy hers!!

All I can say is "Good Luck, Sue." The odds of him paying your way is about the same as Garmin merging with Magellan.

There is a good reason Bill's wife's geocaching name is $ATM!!!

    :);)

  18. Hey Doug, How about in Tom's absents... you can field all the abuse (that doesn't land on me)!?

    Tom, I herd that. (Spelling/Pun intended) :)

I have it on pretty good authority that:

a] JPD43 will be attending - and taking notes for me about BOGA's conduct. :)

b] HappytobeFirst will be attending - and finding someone else to take her abuse. (She's tired of picking on me.) :)

Y'all have a great time. I wish I could be there, but I have to go to Tucson to play Sherpa for my wife. :):)

    ------------------------

Anyone up for the event in Visalia the following weekend? (GC18WMB) Evil Cow Pie Event

  19. Any of you going to that event this weekend in Saratoga? I think it should be fun. Get some new info on the the new Garmin GPSrs/ Hope to maybe see some of you there and if not the following week at the Pizza Pitstop. (plug, Plug) I will pick up extra info from the event in Saratoga for anyone that wants it. That Colorado looks nice. also that Wherigo thing should be fun. Happy Caching

You bet! There will be at least one cachemobile from MAC land with multiple occupants. I also think we will be in a caravan that includes some Dry Creek Geocachers (Fresno area.)

(On the down side, I will be in Arizona the next weekend so I will miss the Ripon bash.)
