OK Greg - since I am the new owner, and I am basically a nice guy, and since you keep whining... I will drop the charges for the GW VI trip if you provide 75 signed and notarized individual petitions from CVC Members. Oh, and you will need to certify that each of the 75 have posted at least ten times to the CVC Forum and that their home addresses are within the area of CVC Tag!!!'s new boundaries.

Please see the CVC Tag!!! description on his cache page. That "line" can be crossed at times, but the offender will be subject to Tar and Feathering. I did some checking with TPTB and would like to emphasize a few points: a] The official stance from Groundspeak is benign indifference to traveling caches. b] Situations that might warrant the attention of a Reviewer or Admin would be having the cache moved to a blatant violation of the Guidelines, such as railroads, National Parks, National Wildlife Refuges, schools, airports, and so called "terrorist targets" (e.g. Federal buildings, overpasses, bridges). As long as people use common sense, those usually don't come up. c] Jeremy has come out officially and banned multiple finds such as passing the cache around for signatures at an event. Based upon the above, and the desires of the CVC "gang" - I will not archive CVC Tag!!! But I will DELETE logs when it is obvious that one of these rules has been violated. I beg to differ. It is not poor Tag who has caused trouble at all. He is just doing his job (and quite well at that.) It is the mischief makers like NascarFam who cause the trouble. So I guess you are calling Greg a girl. But wait, I guess we are in California..... FLASH: There is now a possibility that the TRIAL OF NASCARFAM may be imminent. It seems that BOGA was deliberately dragging his feet with the court. Do I smell some kind of bribe?

1. It sure would be great if there could be an icon on the MY OWNED ITEMS page that indicates a cache is premium only. Sometime I put new ones in that category for a week or 2 before releasing it to everyone. (Then I forget which ones are still premium member only...) 2. Or, would it be possible to have a cache marked "premium only" with an "expire date" that would change it to all on the date specified? That would be way cool.

No, don't bother looking for TAG. He/she is in my possession - in quarantine. After the quarantine, there will be a complete physical.... Stay tuned to help decide how this cache will evolve. CVC Tag has been taken out of quarantine and, believe it or not, the team of doctors has found no serious problems. He is in great shape! Today, he did a profile on Nintendo WiiFit to discover his fitness age is 15 years younger than his calendar age. The doctors did say that HE is a HE and has always been a HE. There are no indications of any “operations” that would have changed that. So, as many of us guessed, that Felon “BOGA” not only just evicted him from his mansion, he also spread those vicious rumors about babies. Many think that BOGA gave away those babies to remove evidence of some other dastardly deed. CVC TAG!!! has always loved Merced County and feels quite at home right now. He has been asking how long it will be before he can go out and play. So, he will out very soon. On a more serious note, now that CVC Tag!!! is starting a new chapter in his life, I’d like some input. This is OUR CACHE and will stay our cache as long as it doesn’t get archived by TPTB. It will not get archived if we can keep him in play and follow common sense. Please post your thoughts on these subjects: a) Has CVC Tag!!! served its purpose? Should it be archived and forgotten? b] What is a “reasonable” definition of the Central Valley? c) If CVC Tag!!! is taken outside the area (and left there), would you volunteer to help retrieve him? d) Do you think I should delete logs that don’t follow the “no group finds” rule, or the rule that says you can’t find it unless two people have found it since your last find? e) Is this “tar and feathering” routine just adults playing like kids? You'd better get your mind back on business. Like your responsibility to MANAGE CVC TAG. I have reason to believe that tag took a trip - way OUTSIDE the area. (No, I have been in or around Merced all weekend....) Get with it Bill!! Start an investigation!! Arrest or indict someone!

And I happen to know that TWO of their Mommies are camped out in Merced, nice and comfy (and quiet) in a brand new motel. They had to camp out after a hard day of caching and another planned for tomorrow. And the way I heard it, you VOLUNTEERED for this duty (most likely sucking up to your wife, I expect.) But, how are you going to stay ahead of NascarFam when you are now a professional "sitter"? Huh??

You didn't hijack the thread at all. Anything goes. If you hadn't posted something, NascarFam would have done something to distract us from his "problem."The "Tag issue" revolves around CVC Tag - a traveling (grandfathered) cache that is supposed to stay with the Central Vally. But NascarFam totally disregarded that prime rule, kidnapped Tag, and transported her to the unknown. Although the evidence is overwhelming, and he has confessed, the trial and subsequent tar and feathering is yet to be held.

Welcome to the forum ferventkids! Glad you stopped by.As luck would have it, some of us will be camping at Lake Alpine the weekend of Sept 19th. Have any advise for good camping spots in the campground at the east end of the lake? Have any weather advise for mid-September? There is an event coming up in Merced in just 2 weeks - come on down!
