  2. The gauntlet is tossed! 288 CACHES! Loads at night. What a great series - the CLUE series and amended by the NO series. We even met RALLYE!! You all should plan this awesome trip.
  3. Dang - I'll miss it - and I'm on the 4th quarter list too! JPD43, Fresgo, and I are headed out bright and early for another run much like the "Yokol (sp) valley run." If you haven't seen it - do a query on caches placed by the cacher "RALLYE" - in the Lancaster area. NO CLUE? We hope to get at least 200 in the next 3 days.
  4. From the Turlock POLICE LOG - 10/20/2009: Suspicious Circumstance 0911 Markley Park 09-10211 City Crew found what looked like a pipe bomb under a sign at the park, attached to the pole with a magnet. Once the S/O bomb squad arrived, it was determined not to be dangerous, but to be part of Geo Cache, a web site where people put little treasures to be found at different GPS coordinates, and filled with signatures.

  6. Nocturnal Immersion Put this one on your list for certain.
  7. Y'all missed a GREAT event yesterday, Cacheport Clovis There were 30 new caches placed. 179 cachers signed in and all departed at 11:00 in all directions. There were bunches of brand new cachers -- some were teamed up with seasoned helpers. It was covered on Fresno's ABC news (30) at both 6pm and 11pm. At 5 pm - everyone returned to claim their FTF prizes along with tons of raffle prizes. Stay tuned -- MAC is thinking about stealing that idea....
  8. Aw - nice try Greg. We know you mean Angie - not Derk & Judd. But alas, my Mom wanted to get home so I didn't get those shots. Kim did though. Post 'em Danno!
  9. OMG! Thanks Trish for the reminder - Gabriel told me where he lived BEFORE I PLACED EUCLID! But, I've never gone down to grab it. Let me know what Crew416 says about its status please. Yep - it was a great non-event today. WE HAD FUN!
  10. The banners I borrowed are in the hands of the 2 Fers. You remember them don't ya?

  13. I'm on 8/14, but I am starting to think I'm destined to never be home on the day of these events, LOL...whenever people throw the dates around, it's never one of the originals they pick ha ha! We will do our best to come this time, if we can :-) BTW I had fun at the Target Caching Event the other night, ha ha! Wanna combine this with "Ride the Bull??"
  14. I've found several caches inside libraries. One was a regular tupperware container, one was a magnetic altoids, one was a flat strip magnet and a couple were actual books. One used the dewey decimal system. In each case, someone on staff was involved and all had the head librarian's permission.
  15. Can you stop by Ripon and kidnap BOGA? I want to watch him ride the bull.
  16. On another subject, make a mark on your calendar for September 18th - a Friday. Ride the Bull
  17. I think it's time for WolfGrrl, the Hubby and Go Cachin to share [with chillin209] their 9 carloads of muggles in Visalia. I need another laugh.
  18. Oh my... I'm on my way to the PD to drop off this post. Better stay away from the southland, Mr. Bill. They have your picture.
  19. As some of you know, a cache was blown up by the Merced PD bomb squad in mid-July. Since then, by invitation, I briefed 4 shift changes of officers about our sport. There was a variety of feelings and comments, but overall, I'd say we are all on the same side. The best comment I heard was that, "When you guys learn to hide them well enough so that regular folks or we (the police) can't find them, there will be no problem." So - HIDERS, start hiden' 'em really good.
