  1. I know its not really nice to take the mickey out of people for poor spelling, grammar and punctuation on the forums, especially since the mods are keeping a very close eye on this thread and watching out for personal attacks (heard that through the grapevine), but I think "test" should have a capital T and a full stop after it.
  2. I think the majority of us just are not interested in Waymarking which IMHO is a load of bunkum, but this new thing looks great fun and I can't wait to get started! *dons fire suit*
  3. Anyone told Cryptik Souls Crew yet? They are the only ones in the UK (I think, please feel free to correct me if I am wrong ) with all the icons found so far. They will need to get this one now.
  4. Will we be getting an option in Notifications for the new type cache?
  5. Rodz already has one out, and its been found, but at the moment it is showing as mystery cache with a blue question mark. I just tried a dummy run setting up a new listing and it shows the new Wherigo icon, so maybe Rodz just needs to change his listing to show the new icon and for finders to have the new icon in their finds list. Edited to add link
  6. 200! Flippin' heck that's staggering! Well done Lolly, Bob and Ashley - thanks for helping boost our numbers. The rat eluded us too - would have looked longer but had a pub meet to get to
  7. One of the best things said on this subject - these boundaries have seemed to be accepted by th amajority in terms of the LQ series. And since Deci wants it for geocaching purposes anyway, and there is a LQ cache in each county to use as a marker, I reckon thats a darned good idea
  8. As far as I am concerned I live in Reading, Berkshire. I have never used W Berks in my address and have never received correspondence with W Berks on the envelope. Anyway, I noticed this on a geocaching shop recently. Not sure if it is of any help. You may need to register/sign in to view it.
  9. Yeah probably - not sure I will take the train this time though
  10. From my home coordinates 112 in a five mile radius, but a whopping 396 on a ten mile radius, shortly to increase by a few more.
  11. Using Firefox and Greasemonkey you can click an icon next to the date on event listings, so it can be added to an Outlook calendar, but I notice there isn't one on the Dutch Mega Event. Does anyone know why?
  12. Awww heck are we are on the way up to 50th birthdays now! Can't believe Dee has hit her milestone already. Congrats to you both - seriously addicted now! LOL
  13. Drat .... was going to suggest you brought them along to Cunning Man meet next Wednesday There are quite a few events before August - so if you find any other unwanted tupperware, you have plenty of opportunities to find someone to take it off your hands. Nice to meet you in the woods the other day incidentally - shame you didnt have the containers with you then
  14. Yes. Well. You do have an exceptionally large one, Birdman. MrsB You heard that too MrsB I have only ever found his small one by the church in Fowey when we went to see the Red Arrows last Summer with him and his boys, and the Kernow Kachers. edited to add to keep it on topic: make some calling cards and leave them in all caches, particular TheOtherSt's just to annoy him, but mine especially because I like them. Trade up or even, go shopping in the stationery and party bag sections of Tescos and you will be fine.
  15. Martin posted on this thread back in November 2007. I've sent them both an email this evening to see how things are and whether they would like to take it on this year, and that we would be delighted to see them back, or if anyone else has, other than myself, has offered.
  16. Excellent.... Now that you have the "cache setting" bug again, you could always think about organising a simple pub get together one evening Is that another Cunning Man pub meet before a trip to California?
  17. Hear hear. I am quite happy with how the official mods run things - the fact that the topic had been reopened by a mod should have signified in itself that there was a pretty good case for it being allowed to run. If anyone really wanted to know the reason why it had been reopened then perhaps they should have/could have asked the mods directly rather than fill up the thread with unhelpful comments . It was a simple enough request, Let's hope it doesn't put other folk off asking for help on these forums.
  18. Another regular monthly meet starting up by some Woking cachers - first one on 26 February - info here Things happening up North too
  19. Here you go Nancy Edited! Whoops pressed the submit button too soon .... Ratty might be your man here (Critical Mass Inc)
  20. Yeah but this log in hindsight is hilarious!
  21. Well, see, I'm allowed if the Tiger is with me, but she doesn't like Night Caching (she didn't mind on the FTF at 6pm). There was this event and the boys decided at about 1am that it would be fun to go Caching in area after a bit of drinking..... and er, we sort of followed the arrow literally and er drunk some more........ I'm sure there are other people on the Forum who might be able to fill you in Oh gawd, there isn't a smiley big enough to give you an idea of how much I am laughing
  22. I'm getting excited about the prospect of more regular pub meets We did think about moving our Berkshire one about a bit, but we love The Cunning Man - good beer and food and excellent service - and by keeping it constant the regulars know exactly where we will be on the second Thursday of each month., except we won't be this month because we are meeting on the Wednesday as a one off The advantage of having it at different venues each time though is as you say spreading the responsibility for organising it and sharing the travelling. And most importantly, new caching opportunities which will be brilliant when the lighter evenings kick in.
