I am also new to the game. I wanted to buy a nice gps device to get started with but I just don't have the money for it right now. So to get me started I found an application for my Blackberry Curve. It is Geocache Navigator by Trimble Outdoors. For the beginner geocacher I think that it is great. I have decided that I must get a quality gps device. I have found that it will be a must. For now though I am enjoying my application that is on my phone. Just do your research and be careful before you go and buy one of those expensive gps devices that are not what they are cracked up to be. HAVE FUN!!!!

I have some friends the geocache and when I heard about it I started looking into it. When I finally downloaded the app. on my phone I started within just a couple of minutes. From the moment that I found my first one I have been hooked. Later that night my wife said that she wanted to go and find some more. Now she is hooked on the thing. We have finally found something that we can do together and gives a chance to hang out together more. We love spending time together and this is a great way to do that. She gets very excited when find a cache. It also gets us up and out of the house so that we can get some fresh air and some fitness in. Like so many people on here I have found out so much about my home town that I never knew. I have seen some great sites that I probably would not have known about if it had not been for geocaching. I like some of the reactions that I get when you catch people watching you. They are wondering what you are doing and sometimes they will come over to you and ask what you are doing. When you tell them what you are doing you get mixed reactions. For the most part though people like the idea. Maybe they will start doing it also. I love geocaching and am always ready to go find more caches.
