  2. I'm working on putting together a 7 cache multi-cache where the final prize is a $75 gift certificate to a local resturant. I've been working on coding the clues. Don't want to make it too easy. LOL. The locations are set, and I've been testing them just to make sure the GPS Co-ords work right. Then I'll submit it for posting. When that happens, I'll let you all know. Happy caching all
  3. Hey there, Congrats. May you two enjoy many hours of caching together. "Every new life is a reason to celebrate"
  4. I am ex- US Air Force. Spent 4 years travling around the world. Met some good people from many countries. Some were non-military types. I joined right after High School with no direction in my life. After 4 years, I grew up quickly. Altough I'm out now, I respect anyone who enters the Armed Forces of any branch. I do not regret my time in the Air Force. Because of my time in, I have always been able to find steady and well paying employment. Currently I work as a Firefighter/Paramedic here in Poughkeepsie. And Now I use my mapping skills to do caching. I plot out the cache on a topo map first before going to the GPSr to verify the spot. Most times, I'm right on the money. Happy Caching Broken Knee

  6. Hello all; I like to lurk in the shadows and watch the "vetern" members discuss the stuff. You can learn alot from lurking he he he. As far as arguing, I only argue with myself. That's the only way I win the argument. Name is Jerry, I go by Broken Knee. I wrecked me knee at work a few times and it will never be the same. Well at least I can go geocaching. I like taking my kids along. ONe just turned 13, the other is 8. We have fun. It's good exercise. And best of all, it is better then that bloody play station!!!!!!!Sorry, didn't mean to yell. So see you all at the next cache!
  7. Hello all; Just an idea here. I just placed my first cache for you all to find. While I'm waiting for it to be approved, I came up with an idea. In Ham Radio, we send (sometimes) the other operator what we call a QSL card. This card varifies that the operator actual made contact with a piticular station. The cards come in various designs, pictures, etc. Many ham radio operators collect hundreds of these QSL cards from all over the world. So my idea is similar. Instead of mailing these cards to everyone who finds my cache, I was going to place them inside the cache. If a person wishes, they may take one to "add" to his/her collection. Each Cache Find Card would be numbered. All the person needs to do is write in the date. Cache Find Cards would change design with each year. What do you all think?
