My LQ:RACER - XL5's Thunderbird 2 is still going strong, but hasn't visited an LQ cache for ages.

How many Church Micros are there now?

What's the British pronunciation?

Nope, Customer Information Control System or "See-Ahhh-See-Ess" to give its proper US pronunciation -
What's the British pronunciation?
Team XL5 replied to Neath Worthies's topic in United Kingdom and Ireland
Reminds me of my mainframe computer days, a product abbreviated to CICS; the British always pronounced it as Kicks, the Americans always spelt it out C-I-C-S. Fair enough I thought, but then another product was installed: NCCF. The British spelt it out N-C-C-F, but the Americans pronounced it as Nck-F. Not sure why I should remember that after over 20 years (or even if it was worth mentioning). -
Don't you just LOVE it when someone posts a picture?

Some pics of one of my Cybermen: and on holiday in Blackpool... Sadly, my other two haven't faired so well. -
Paperless Caching for ipod touch & iphone
Team XL5 replied to Cushie Butterfield's topic in United Kingdom and Ireland
An iPhone/Touch app that will work for PC owners is Olive Toast's Files. You drag and drop files of all types, pdf, word excel etc which can then be read on the iPhone/Touch. -
The betas only have English language included. The release versions have multiple languages making the final version bigger.

A late entrant for the TB race, my LQ:RACER - XL5's Thunderbird 2 dropped in LQ:CAMBS - The Green Man to start its journey.

Probably more to do with an attempt to find the culprit that's trashed their caches.

Not much help I know, but sorry to report a failure to rescue this coin from Bongard Christmas Puzzles. The problem being that I can no longer reach the cache. I'm short enough to start off with, but could get to the cache when I did a while back. Either I've shrunk or the cache has somehow moved deeper down in its hiding place. Sorry.

Anyone got a birthday in January?

I'll be err, old on the 10th. Not sure about the diary fixtures for the 19th yet though. -

Well done Bob and Merry Christmas. Paul -
Probably a bit over the top, I use Photoshop to clone a another part of the tag over the number.

Thanks for the info. Sorry to hear about the cache trashing issue. It's always a shame when someone wants to ruin other people's fun. Cheers

OK, I've edited mine! -
Caches where the TB is the key

There's Hole Numbers 1 & 2 by Bob Bongtwash where you need to find two TBs to locate the caches and also another one which I've been asked to remove! -

Yes, compass on, WAAS/EGNOS on and UK TOPO map loaded (not sure if that makes a difference though). -

I agree with (Mr.) bleaming. Mine's kept going and got me to the cache with no bars showing. -
Would it be possible for one of the mods to move this thread to the US Northwest forum, it may be more relevant there (plus I didn't want to be accused of cross posting ) Thanks

Does anyone know GeoLite69? He's quite a prolific cacher with over 1000 finds and over 100 hides so he's given a lot to caching. He has picked up a number of Tbs/Jeeps (including one of mine), held on to them for a couple of months or more, then dropped them into one of his own caches which he also archived the same day. I've tried emailing (politely of course) and posting a note on the archived cache but no reply. I was wondering if anyone knew him to ask to get the TBs moving again or at least find out if anything has happened to them. Thanks

Depending exactly where you are in London, if you're entering the co-ordinates manually, don't forget to check whether you're East or West of the line!

It's back up.

Might be worth emailing the last couple of finders of the cache and trying locate him that way. I once found a credit card lost by a previous cacher.

A Fisherman's Tale picture 3 is Bob Bongtwash on the left and (I guess) Izzy (right) and the Lizard King (centre).

Coal Post 14 picture 23 is Paul from Team XL5. I was there June 4 2005. The paper log will show my original cache name LLFC though.
