  1. Now, I bet you have some great stories here? Hope you will share some on the off topic board? Wait ... I think I'm there already?
  2. I use it when running into strangers, while looking for a cache, I ask, Are you the Muggle's? Only a fellow Geocacher would then introduce themselves. It's a code word now! Like my geeky signature
  3. I sold the same house twice, and the man from the bank, on the phone called me Honest John. I told a friend the story, and it got around quickly. It was back in the early 70's, and I did get the legal part straitened out. Everyone that knows me calls me Honest, and has for many years now. Suzie is Susan, my wife, and Jule, is Julie our dog.
  4. Hey fly, check out my tags when you get them. I think they will work, but I hope you don't change the map now?
  5. Hey fly, our 3 entries left here today finally. Via US Mail. Looking forward to a picture of all the entries in a pile!
  6. I love Micros. That's is because there is no place to put full cache containers, that would only be vandalized by muggles, and so I will live with the hunt, the best part. Micros usually lead me to parks in my area I have never seen, or enjoyed before. Besides, verity, is a good thing, like if there were just full sized caches, it would get boring to me.
  7. Hey fly, what counts as a track cache? Here in Homestead, (where I live near) there are 5 caches listed (we hit all but 1) and all but one so far are micros. Will you be adding caches at each of the tracks? I hope you are considering any caches in the Miami area as a final stop as well as other states where tracks are located?
  8. The plus side is; More electronic toys, to buy, to get to play with, and the satisfaction when they work! The downside is; Keeping them running, keeping other hands off them, and having to read instructions to use them!
  9. Fly, I take it your a Casey Atwood fan? Do you have the 1999 Daytona 500 program, it is the one with Dale Earnhardt on the cover from winning the year before? There is a good artical on him in there, and a picture of me giving him the Bud Pole Award at Homestead. I been able to hand out 5 Bud Pole Awards.
  10. Ca Racetramp, I think the guys back at the shop will scrap that one. Can you tell me how to put the links in the bug page?
  11. Come on fly, lets see a picture of field already?
  12. Doesn't Garmin make the Legend? I have the Garmin eTrex Legend C, and I love it! It is set up for geocaching. I also picked up the Garmin Map Source Metro Guide, around $80.00. A must, and so easy, and fun to use with the PC. I use the GSAK Geocaching swiss army knife to tie everything together.
  13. Here is a link to the State laws for the Florida lottery: Florida Lottery Laws 1)I guess that would be how the finder takes it? 2) I think they are referring to people that work for the lottery. The persons that handle the vendors, and goes store to store. I knew one of them, but never asked Him if he could play.
  14. Here is the Florida law. It is gift. 24.116 Unlawful purchase of lottery tickets; penalty.-- (1) No person who is less than 18 years of age may purchase a lottery ticket; however, this shall not prohibit the purchase of a lottery ticket for the purpose of making a gift to a minor. (2) No officer or employee of the department or any relative living in the same household with such officer or employee may purchase a lottery ticket. (3) No officer or employee of any vendor under contract with the department for a major procurement, relative living in the same household with such officer or employee, or immediate supervisor of such officer or employee may purchase a lottery ticket if the officer or employee is involved in the direct provision of goods or services to the department or has access to information made confidential by the department. (4) Any person who violates this section is guilty of a misdemeanor of the first degree, punishable as provided in s. 775.082 or s. 775.083. History.--s. 16, ch. 87-65; s. 5, ch. 88-374.
  15. Great Idea, I guess for one of my first hides, it will be a lotto cache. I did check out the cache in CA, and that is a great one. I liked that you had to replace a ticket, with a ticket, and log your winnings. I did see on the logs, where it seems the Geocachers were not prepared for the ticket part, but logged them as finds anyway. That's still cool, but I think the turn out would work better here in this area. That is, I have to find the special spot first. Think I'll name it "Scratch And Lose!"
  16. The last thing we need is a tragedy for loved ones around the holidays. Ah forget the holidays, Anytime! Thoughts and Prayer go out.
  17. Is anyone putting lottery tickets in caches? Or is anyone finding them?
  18. QUOTE: I picked up a couple of dead harddrives for $1 (4 drives I think) at a computer show a month or so ago. I haven't pried them apart to get the magnets yet, though. Can you post pictures when you do? I would like to see where they are actually located in the hard drive.
  19. OK fly46, we are ready to go! Bugs are registered, attached to their items, and they will be in the mail to you, looks like Monday the 3rd now. Thanks.
  20. QUOTE: There is another option. You could always contact the current registrant and ask if they would consider selling the domain. Try to get it for free first.
