I've been purchasing the annual Birds eye view software subscription for years. I do like the end result, high resolution satellite imagery. I can sort of deal with the slowness of downloading BEV imagery for an area, I'll be caching. Even though its like a 3 day process for me. I'm now wondering why I even use it. And this is my question for all of you. What benefit does BEV bring you for caching? In the end your looking at your device, where you are, and where the end point is located. Its only as good as your GPS signal. If you find yourself in the deep woods, you're probably not going to see anything on the BEV anyway.

So to confirm, there is NO way to take a "corrected coordinate" that is corrected on GC.com only, and sending that to GSAK? So I can then send to my GPSr. Is this true?

Has anyone ever added a poll question to a cache page. I would like to be able to ask people if they will be participating in activity B on the day after the Event. Because of stacking rules, we can no longer have a second event.

Today I found 27 geocaches, I went to favorite one of them and it appears I have no favorite points, how is this possible since I just found 27, that should give me 2 at least.

Was reading another post and stumbled on to the fact that I can download right from Safari (no need to transfer from laptop to iphone). Much easier this way. However, my second question still stands, can I use a Garmin GPSMAP 64s? Seems like I used that last time...2 years ago...but maybe I'm remembering it wrong.

Ok now it has my pic and name on the search tab. Not sure why it was not working before, but it is now. Regardless, onto the next questions for the community. How do I get a cartridge onto my iphone? When I search by GC Code from the Wherigo app it finds the one I'm looking for, but there doesn't seem to be any link to download it. So then when I go to Wherigo.com, it lists 4 options to download, none of which are for an iphone, seemingly. Next question, I also have a Garmin GPSMAP 64S, can I use that for WhereIGos? How would I download cartridges onto that? Use link for downloading to Garmin Colorado, or Garmin Oregon?

I am having the same exact problems as the OP did. I am using an Iphone 7 IOS 10.3.2. Been having the problem for a few days now. Anyone else having problems?

A year or two ago I successfully ran a simple where I go. It was a lot of fun, and now that I am zeroing in on my 1,000 find. I would like to run another one. Needless to say I am having a lot of troubles, and unfortunately tech support at GC HQ is obsolete on this issue. Where can I get info and help? I downloaded the Wherigo app for iphone, but it can't connect to gc.com, and it won't accept my credentials even though I double checked them at gc.com. Feeling frustrated... Any Wherigo pros out there?

So I recently calculated coordinates for geoart. I have all the final coordinates in an excel file. Is there a simple way to send them from the excel file to the gps, as waypoints? I am using a Garmin GPS Map 64s. Windows 7, Office 2007.

This may seem like a silly question, but exactly what does this option include/not include when clicked while creating a pocket query? Does it include updates for logs? Does it include updates for corrected coordinates? Does it include updates for description alterations? Does it include updates for temporary disablement or Archivement?

It doesn't matter too much, but I'm confused how one would solve your mystery. Wouldn't you need a map that shows coordinates and is accurate for measuring distances? The only way I could see doing that is by physically wandering around the park with a GPS in hand. What am I missing? Sorry for my ignorance.

It's not a letterbox hybrid unless you put a stamp in the box, but why bother. Mystery/puzzle cache is the best option. Aren't Mystery/Puzzle caches banned for a year?

Just bouncing some ideas here, and I don't have any experience projecting waypoints or sight and go. But, if I give coordinates to the cacher, and instruct them to travel a distance at a given direction; then from that stopping point, project another waypoint and so on to the final, would this would be acceptable and not break any rules. Now here comes the twist, can the "projected waypoints" be closer than 528 feet, since they aren't really waypoints, with a physical container or anything? Thoughts? I'm not looking to ruffle any feathers here, just wondering what protocol is?

Pardon me for asking, but I don't think my auto zoom function is working. It hasn't auto zoomed since I bought it, but I only recently try using it. Could someone give me very detailed directions how to turn it on and test it and exactly what it should be looking like or doing? I used this feature on my last GPSr, Magellan Explorist GC. So I believe I know what it's supposed to do. What I am talking about is let's say I am some distance from the geocache, I find myself zooming in and out trying to get my bearings and then back in as I get closer. Pretty sure this process is supposed to be automated. Under Main menu, Setup, Map, Advanced Map Setup, Auto Zoom is set to on, clicking down on zoom levels all five options are set to Auto. Any thoughts?

That's the solution I was using. Just thought there might be a setting out there to change what "find next nearest" does. Seems that it wouldn't be that hard to add to the software.

I have a GPSmap64s, recently while completing a power trail with a couple cachin friends I came across a situation that I thought was weird. I have completed several segments of the trail here and there. After logging a find, the GPS offered to take me to the next nearest geocache but I quickly figured out that it would only take me to the nearest unfound cache. Now normally this is ideal, but on this day, since I was the only one carrying a GPS unit, it was necessary to stop at all of the caches. So my question is, "is there a way to change the status of the geocache that is offers to navigate to? For example, take me to the nearest cache regardless if it's found by me or not.

Simple. Waypoints have the GC code without the 'GC' in their names. For example: for GC1A2B3C, the parking waypoint will probably be PK1A2B3C. The two characters at the beginning are set by the cache owner. So if you filter by name 1A2B3C you get all the additional waypoints of that cache. First, what if there are multiple waypoints? Second, this means I would need to scroll through a huge list looking to match up a few numbers. Isn't there a better way?

Ok so I'll have 100's of POI's, but will they be "tied" to the corresponding geocache? This may make it a little better, but still a massive mistake on Garmin's part. Am I the only person that sees this as a big deal?

But there may be 900 waypoints, in the waypoint folder, how would I know which is tied to the geocache I am looking for? It's as if there is no way on the 64s to tie the parent geocache with the child waypoint. This just seems like a massive oversight on Garmin's part. Am I missing something here?
