Well, it was your own suggestion (a few posts back) to drop it in a cache in Luxembourg. So we did just that on the way back. Of course it had to be one of yours, so you would know it was retrieved. What we could not know, is that you had gone after the coin as well (I haven't seen any log, BTW)

It was all a matter of tactics. I let Mighty Moose drive all the way there, and carry me up the mountain. By the time we found the coin, he was so tired the fight was over before he knew it!

Nice design!! I would really like to have a few of this one! (and trade a black nickel as well if possible)

Same as all the others, I have really no idea what went wrong. but..... I will send you a new shipment of coins, today. (See wich shipment gets to you first) but.... Please activate the extra coins and drop them in a cache somewhere, if your other coins do turn up.

I would organize a cache trip with my friend Mighty Moose, and go there for at least a long weekend, even if it would take us a 2000 mile ride, crossing 6 different countries in Europe! (the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, Austria & Italy) To be honest, that is what we just did! Thank you Nolenator for the opportunity, we had a great trip, awesome scenery, a pretty hard to find cache, but the reward.......

I don't get it anymore, Over the year I have sent more than 100 shipments to the US and other countries outside Europe. I almost always used Priority (Air)Mail. I always use the CN22 customs declaration. mark it as "gift" with "game tokens" as a description and a value of about $3 a coin. I never encountered any problems nor lost a shipment. Until a month or so ago coins were usually received within a week, but lately it seems to take almost a month. I don't know where things go wrong, but it looks like customs is sitting on it. At the moment I am receiving several mails a day from people wondering when they will get their coins. Some of those coins I shipped over a month ago. Other Dutch cachers encounter the same problems. We are very sorry for those who have to wait so long, but there is really no way we can help it! We really don't know what causes the delay. We don't do things different than before. I can only say: Have faith, and please be patient Thanks for your understanding.

As most of you know, I don't collect personal coins (anymore). There are just too many, and I stopped buying them months ago. But I really like this one and the theme appeals to me too, so: wanna trade? a gold for a gold? please...?

Don't worry, they will. any day soon (put them in the mail more than a week ago)

All the coins are in the mail!!! Today I prepared the last shipments and they are all on their way now. Some statistics (if you are interested) 550 coins minted, of which 450 to be sold. 450 ordered by 192 buyers ( 91 US, 96 EU, 5 others) 375 paid and shipped. ( 76 US, 91 EU, 5 others) 75 not paid / cancelled or just never heard of again, so not shipped ( 14 US, 5 EU ) If you are sure you paid your coins, don't worry, they are on their way. If you are not sure: email me through my profile. The leftovers are now for sale again at a certain international auction site, if you missed it, here's your last chance! I thank all of you for your trust and patience. I've enjoyed going through the whole process of having my own coin made. I sincerely hope you enjoy the result as much as I do. I consider a coin to be "payment" as well

Today I received an email from the manufacturer: the coin will be ready around 17th of May. Everyone who ordered and paid for the coins, will get their coins a.s.a.p. Those who ordered and have not paid me yet: I will send the coins as soon as I received payment (please check). Those of you who have ordered, but not received an invoice yet: please email me at: sjvdberg@hetnet.nl from a working email-address. I have not been able to reach several people at their given email-addresses, emails have come back to me "undeliverable" so, if you ordered and still want the coin: please contact me! Reservations that have not been paid by 17th of May, will be cancelled. These coins will be sold again.

A sneak peak at the test coins: I think they turned out quite nice! It will take a few more weeks for the rest to arrive, we just have to be patient a little more, but I think the coins are worth the wait! and, before I forget: they have an icon too:

They are from a fellow cacher (Psychochicken) but I had promised a few of you who spotted this one on the site where I also sold my coin, to notify them, when this one was going to sell. These are also reasonably priced. You have to be quick, the SE were already sold... :oops: forgot the link HERE IT IS

We received a cancellation on 2 LE's and we have dug up a few extra LE's from our reserve. We now have an extra 8 LE's on sale and we still have 15 regulars.

To all those concerned. On all the invoices going out today I have removed the part about the PayPal fees. To treat everybody equal: All those who have already paid it, will have the PayPal fees refunded. It was my mistake, I will take the loss. It may take a day or so to sort out who have and who have not paid the fees, but you will be refunded.

you say it yourself: "If I pay cash, I still have to pay the same price as someone who used a card." and that is exactly my point: I did not want those who pay me by bank, paying for PayPal services they do not use! thus I did not calculate it in. Your guess is right MustangJoni, all of my customers in Europe (which is 65% of all my customers) have payed through te bank, and they charge no fees. PayPal maybe in use worldwide, but it is based upon what appears to be "common use" in the USA. It is not common in Europe. But you are right on the other points as well, I should have told people beforehand, and I take the blame. I have learned a lesson here. As I said before: you do not have to pay the Paypal fees. It was my mistake and I will bear the consequences.

Hi everybody, I am sorry for the upset. I have no commercial experience whatsoever, so I did not calculate the fees into the price of the coin. Why? because I did not think that would be fair to all those who are paying me by bank. They would be paying extra for something they don't use or get. It is a complcated coin, quite expensive to have made, and I have kept the price of the coin as low as possible, for everyone, making no difference between European buyers or worldwide buyers. Compared to other coins on sale, this is a bargain, and I am affraid I will loose money on it. I have no problem with that, because it was a great project for me to do, which, I hope added something to the Geocaching community. I have offered MustangJoni not to pay the fees, but he/she chose to cancel. In Europe paying by bank is free, so that is why there are two options. and that is why I did not calculate it in. Maybe I should have made that clearer in the order form. My mistake, and I will pay for it. Please, feel free not to pay the PayPal fees, I may just loose just a little more money, but it was still great fun to make the coin!

There are only 122 coins left wordwide. (very few LE's) Who forgot to order?? I had a number of coins reserved for "Europe" and a number of coins for "outside Europe" also a limitation on the number of coins per order. The sale has been going on for two days now. In my opinion, everybody has had a fair chance to order our coin. So from this moment on ordering is no longer restricted. Anyone can order as many as they like. If you have already ordered and want more? Feel free to order again, I will combine the two, into 1 order.
