first off ... g.s. has issue with that app because it is un-crippled for non-paying members ... of which you are not ... one way to do multis with c geo ... from the main screen of c geo go to "any destination", tap the coords field and fill this in, you may want to tap the "my coordinates" button first to center them on your present position so you don't have to change as many numbers. after you fill those out go to menu > map (or navigate, whichever you use or have set up) this will put a point on the map you can navigate to ... but the cache data, and/or the cache it's self won't be on the map ... you have to back all the way back to the main map for that. to get back to the waypoint you only need to go back to "any destination" and your most recent point is the first one under "history".

i didn't say "mostly" ... i said "never" ... but i've purged everything and i'll give it a few days to see if it worked. ... meanwhile ... i'll take steps to retrieve all my other info lost in the purge.

that resets all my other sites too ... they've never given me this issue.

seems a bit like it has something to do with the "sign in with facebook" feature. ... which it also won't let me do.

same here! about a week or 2 now. google chrome. often when pages left open with multiple tabs also ... click to refresh page and get "sign in" prompt.

adding this to the list ... i don't know how to move it here.

yes i was part of the grumbling at some point. i was just wondering if they've found a solution yet. thanks for dragging up that link.

has the photo and icon scramble issue been figured out yet ... ? a few moments ago i had my stat bar and my profile icon replaced by photos from my relatively unrelated travel bug page ... and the mixed up stat bar happens to be showing up as the sig on a non gc.com forum. ... that i still have open, i might be able to get a screenshot.... supposed to be ... this has been quite a long-term issue ... are we just dealing with this annoyance, or is it on someone's radar?

as much time as i spent walking around in the woods when i was a kid ... and rolling around in fields ... i never had p.i. till now - i'm over 40. it took a few days for me to get the rash, i know exactly which cache i got it from (after the fact). at first, i thought it was from some pine trees i was poking around in a few days later because that's when it started to kick in. it's been at least two weeks, maybe three, and i'm down to a few spots on my shins and an area on the back of one leg. ... during the major parts, i even got it on the rim of my nose ... fun stuff. definitely, do not forget to wash your bedding, and (like me) any bags or anything in the bags that may have been in contact with the oil transfer. wash your g.p.s., your phone, hat, wallet, hiking pole ... etc ... everything.

i didn't say angry birds .... i said birding. -donuts to decking.

how about this for an idea ... gs dropps the price of the app to something much less offensive, includes it with a paid membership or just plain makes it free ... and overnight the app competition is cut in half. feel free to rewrite that with more eloquence ... maybe they'll notice.

... ... the price WAS the argument ... if that bugatti was wrapped around a tree and you had to purchase both the car and the tree ... it's fine if you wanted to deal with it's problems ... but if you just want something to drive ... i'd go with the ford ... oh wait ... that wasn't an option.

Just because other people choose to put hundreds of hours into writing a program, then give it away for free, does not mean that Groundspeak should do the same. Groundspeak is a business. They have to pay the engineer who wrote the program, so they should be able to recoup that cost. They do that by charging for the product. You have a right to buy their product or not. Your choice. sooo ...send me a hundred dollars ... i'll sit here and laugh just like someone else who is doing it right now for nothing.

is that restriction just on the app, or on basic members in general? ... seems like that page is saying this is a restriction of the app. and ... i tell you what ... i've seen the app work it loads faster than the web page... how can that be if it's basically doing twice the work?

It only shows your longest streak, not your current streak (unless your current streak IS your longest streak). I think the OP is asking for a "Current streak" stat. ah ... true

good question when you put it that way. but usually it means something to the effect that in some areas of some time zones ... there is no d.s.t. ... so in some things like computers, atomic clocks ... they need to know if you're in an area that uses it or not. ... quite often (as in this case) the wording of the tick box setting is confusing. hope this helps some ... and if not at least i bumped the thread. (which i think is in the wrong place.)

i'm going to say it because it's starting to irritate me ... NO ONE IS ATTEMPTING TO COMPARE IT TO A G.P.S.. ... in fact i could go grab a cache right now and leave all my tecnology at the house ... or if i wanted to lug around my laptop ... i have a g.p.s. for that too. this thread has nothing to do with a g.p.s. at all it has to do with the cost of the app compared to all the other apps on the market. i have a birding app in my phone ... it has stand alone capabilities ... it has hundreds of years worth of relevant information ... it costs $9 ... there are very few others that cost more and do exactly the same thing if not less. this ... is a map, a gps program ... there are (figuratively) thousands of them on the market that cost ZERO DOLLARS THAT is what it's being compared to.

a million percent agree! ... this would promote their product twice. absolutely! i stood in front of some mops the other day contemplating between a $9 mop and a $7 mop for about 10 minutes ... features were ultimately the deciding factor ... had someone walked up to me and offered me one of similar quality and functionality for free, i would've taken it instead.

g.s. could make a new type ... call it a "classic cache" and change any qualifying cache into one of these. ... or some variation of that idea. an attribute ... a coords update ... a different smiley ... something. it might be nice to get a souvenir for something like that though.
