  1. Hey everyone I am going to Australia in a few months and wanted to drop a geocoin in as many caches as I can find while I'm there but I have found that this would be a very expensive proposition. Does anyone know where I can buy really inexpensive Geocoins possibly in a group of 20 or 30? I have allready checked E-bay and Michigan Geocaching web sites and I just can't afford the number I would like to take with me.

    Thanks,

    Hayndog

How about I activate some of my Geocoins, send them to you and you take them to OZ to place?

  2. I have released many coins to travel, and I have coins that I take to events.

Some of the traveling coins get "lost" pretty quick and some travel on.

Not claiming the most just to show some do travel via cachers.

Here is one that has gone from GA to ME, to TX (Geowoodstock) then Germany. Coin seem to move cache to cache in Europe with out getting lost.LOL 9491 miles

  4. I'm having difficulty activating my first coin, a Christmas gift, because when I go to www.geocoins.ca the site doesn't exist. Is there something I'm missing or another site where I can get this coin ready for release?

I've searched the archives and pinned posts with no success. Any help would be appreciated. tks

If this is the 2006 Canada Geocoin you should be able to get the code here.

    Geocin Canada

If it is the brass colored Canada coin it is not trackable on GC

If it is some other coin post a pic or describe the coin and I'm sure someone will know where you should go next.

Today I presented a check for $701.10 to The Susan G. Komen Foundation, Atlanta office. They were very much appreciative for the donation. They asked me to express their heartfelt thanks for all who supported the project.

In Amanda's right hand you can see the coin I also gave them. The coin has the foundations name engraved on the coin. A local cacher , Sledgehampster paid for the coin and asked it be donated to them. Nice gesture Jackie!

  6. I see coins being made with logos from organizations. I didn't think you were suppose to do that with permission. Am I wrong or are people just doing without regard? The ones i metion would not give permission I don't think.

edite for: I would give examples but don't want to put anyone on the spot.

For the record, i had all permissions for the Breast Cancer Coin. I

FYI I was asked by TPTB to provide said permisions prior to making the coin.
