  1. I have a couple. Write me tomDOTgacacherDOTgmailDOTcom
  2. Well since Atlanta Gal has 4 to trade I thought I would post the photo of our GA Geocoin. These are numbered 1- 300 but NOT trackable. At this time we have no more to sell. You will have to trade. Soon we will make a decision if we will produce more. Watch for posts or write gageocoin@gmail.com We hope you like our effort. Front Back
  3. We have a Georgia Geo Coin in production but it will not be trackable. Maybe next year... here is the link Georgia Geo Coins
  4. Many cacher here in GA have a TB that they use as a personal TB. TO keep up with their miles. One even has made his car a VW Bug into a bug, complete with logo on front. Check out Blueberry TBGC14 very cool. Unfortunatly it seems the the cacher you rfere to , who is the only person to log that jeep, has chosen to use the Jeep as his/her personal tb.
  5. Yes please drop it into the event and mail it to us so that it will arrive in time. We will bring it to the event to start the race. Event waypoint is GCM2XX . I sent my snail mail address to you via your profile. Tom travelbugracer@gmail.com
  6. I received 15 Canadain Geocoins for CHristmas. They are beautiful and trackable at their site. Well I am orignally from Canada and that is the reason I asked for them. I plan to put one in each 100 cache I do, (now at 813) and one in each of my new caches I place. I know that most will be kept by other cachers as a collectable item but I send them out with that knowledge. If one or two get tracked ( you enter the GC waypoint with hte stamped tracking number) that will be a plus. GA Cacher
  7. Great please drop Picnh Hitter in the race Kick Off event as I will be putting together the Racers page at TBR this week. Then Bring it to the Feb meeting or just bring it to the Event Kick Off as you wish. Thanks for entering. Good Luck GA Cacher
  8. Glad you have joined our race! I would like to mention one thing. Unfortunately as we send TB out to the world we are at the whim on the finder. We at TBR keep a watch over all the bugs as best we can. In the race rules we have "In order to be fair to all the other contestants, once the race begins, please do not aid, assist or handle any of the other 2005 baseball racers. It is encouraged that all participants attach some form of race information on their travel bug. The use of notes, maps, zips lock baggies, etc. to aid their bug’s travels is highly recommended. Remember, not all geocachers are familiar with travel bugs and/or travel bug racing." This does not preclude you from posting to a cache page asking the next finder to move the bug. We have posted notes to cache pages and e-mailed cachers that have our racing TB's in hand. Each time politely nudging the TB along. Personally once a TB of mine has sat 6 weeks I post a note and e-mail the holder. You just shouldn't ask the next cacher or present holder to place in a specific cache near them that would be an assist in our view. Just as asking them to mail or ship it to a new location or geo-buddy would. Of course mailing TB's to us to place in the starting Event so all TB's start from the same location is the exception to mailing. Best of Luck to all, GA Cacher, Team PEZ and Team Happyspider
  9. Well Chaz, Many folks mail the TB to use and drop the NEW TB into the event cache site, We (Corey, Duane or myself) will bring the TB to the event and it will join in the "raffle" for attendees to take home. Contact us thur our webpage TBR Tom
  10. And Corey fogot to talk about the weekly updates, with comic comments. And Weekly updated leaderboard!! Links to all the racers. Milage awards, mystery stadium awards. Come join the fun. No fees and we host an event for local cachers to meet and stuff their face and kick off the race. Most bugs go from the race down the road 18 miles and get the first stadium, The "Ted" Braves Stadium that day. Come join us or e-mail any questions TOm
  11. Well the best one I have found is Travelling Man It is a hand carved Gnome that has its own PVC container. Look at the picture and check out the Geocaching Logo on the suitcase. The best one I have sent was my wedding ring. It was afrom a past marriage and my wife told me to get ride of it so I made Ring of Tears. Too bad it got to NJ and them muggles. But I really didn't expect it to last long. I was hoping that they would take the ring and leave the tag, it cost $5!!
  12. I like the new design and I never liked the idea of a copy tag. I have all mine on a spread sheet to track and the tags just sit here on the desk. My two cents. We enter alot of TB races and have some of our own. Cheers Our TB websiteTravel Bug Racer
  13. Well to Quote the rules correctly it reads. "All travel bug racers must physically be put in a cache - no electronic "drop-ins" allowed." The rules say nothing about someone else having to pick up the TB. The above rule was put in to stop drop in's by cachers starting the race from another location. EX we had entries from Canada, England and Germany. We wanted the bugs here to start the race so the bugs had to be here in our hands not just droped in. One person caould visit 3 stadiums with a bug and prove the bug was there with a picture at the stadium. The bug doesn't have to be placed in a cache in that state to qualify the bugs visit. Therefore one cacher that travels could take a bug to 7 stadiums. IF the cacher that has taken these two bugs to the two stadiums were to have a bug in the race, any stadiums after the first log wouldn't count to ward the standings. As these cachers do not have a bug in the race there is no foul. Sorry penlaty flag was throw in error. Time in, start the clock continue the game.
  14. Actually, I have a TB in my Ye Olde 41 TB Motel that is from Denmark. It's original goal was to visit caches only in Denmark and a cacher accidently brought it over here. I would love to get it to you to at least get it back to the correct continent. Would you considr this? Tom GA Cacher
  15. Sure I'll be happy to do some caches with you. As others have posted there are a boatload new you. I am in retail and have days off during the week to cache. email me if you want ga_cacher@yahoo.com
  16. Well this is one of mine. I think it has a unique goal. It isn't as nice as that banjo! I really wonder if it will move or be picked up and just "kept". Ring of Tears
  17. I go by GA Cacher, and live in GA. They allow 7 letters and I have ordered CACHER for my GA tag, waiting for the approval.
  18. Hello all and Happy Holidays to you!!! While I was out in Texas last month I of course dida couple of caches. One thing I noticed when logging my finds was was recognition for the FTF. I know that when I read a cache description I sometimes wonder who was FTF, but maybe I didn't wat to scroll to another page and scroll down 45 logs! Well out in TX they list the FTF in the long description right before the actual description! Also the date of the find... I though that was a kwel idea and have started to do this on my caches. ( I only have 3 at this time) I also made mine so you could clik on the FTF name and their profile will open in an other page. Here is how it looks: Well here is the Geo Cacher that braved the Team Pez placement and was the: FTF : owl1959 Nov 23, 2003 Congrats Owl1959!!!!! and the simple ( it has to be simple for me to use it) code <center>Well here is the Geo Cacher that braved the Team Pez placement and was the:</center> <center><h2><font color="red">FTF : <a target="_blank" href="http://www.geocaching.com/profile/?guid=f0464fc4-6381-4419-a646-4f3ffafaecf2 "> owl1959</font> Nov 23, 2003</center></h2></a> <center> Congrats Owl1959!!!!!</center><br><br><p> here is a link to my Old Time, New Find cache to see it if you wish Old Time New Find Any way I thought I would see what ya'll thought about it!
