  1. i would contact the cache reviewer for your area. each reviewer has quirks they allow and dont. they should be able to help you with the rules. the one major rule i see is no caches on school property. the other would be the amount of gps's needed to accomodate that many people and to have to explain to that many people how to program coords into an infinite variety of gps's that would be there. we helped with one a few years ago and these are just a few ideas. sounds like it would be fun though. have you been to any geocache events/meetings? maybe talk to a few local cachers and get there 2 cents. they might want to help thats how we got into ours. cache on
  2. any word on fixes for the site, im having the same map issues. as everyone else. thanks
  3. then we would have to give nanos their own icon
  4. send the co a request, they'll probably give you a hint. most of us do. it is a friendly game after all.
  5. so we need to waste room on the tiny log sheets on a nano for an authentication code, or, the co has to run out and replace the log it every time it becomes unreadable?
  6. hi folks, getting back into geocaching and figured id go paperless this time, anyone know how to download multiple (1000) caches at one time? yes im a premium member and did the pocket query already. i just dont know how to put it on the gps, and the handbook doesnt specify. thanks in advance
  7. i personally know A reveiwer [deleted by moderator], he has used his prior knowledge of caches to get ftf's on several occasions, and wants all the answers to the puzzles so he doesnt have to do them himself. and me personally has denied several caches for petty things like too many briars or in a tree. but some are that way, a little power goes a long way.
  8. okay i dont post much i just hover in the back ground, but this one brings me out. i have an ohv (off highway vehicle) that we drive on the trails, a big jeep. anyway we have this problem in our community also where others feel they have to bushwack to find the "good" places. there is a group called TREAD LIGHTLY that is involved in teaching through literacy about this kind of stuff. we have lost a lot of trails do to others not doing as best they can to be ethical. alot of the problem is people just not understanding the impact they have, and they just need a poke in the right direction, maybe a nation wide geo pamphlet to be stuck in the small and up size caches, nothing big maybe just a card size, so that were not just CITO everyhting. us being hunters / fisher/ wheelers weve always practice the take more than you bring trash idea. weve even left a few extra walmart bags in a pringles tube attached to a location if its a bad one for trash, in the hope some others "get it" just my couple pennies
