  1. But a Glock 23 is such a fine piece of combat gear.. I drool thinking about owning one to carry.. God help the bad guy on the other end because that's who he'll be talking to.

  2. Stupid is as stupid does. If you don't want to appear ignorant then YOU should take it upon yourself to learn basic grammar and spelling. Nobody is perfect but some of the kids now days are just pathetic. English as a second language is NOT a excuse if you are a US citizen.

  3. Cabelas is a great place to buy items on sale. I have to agree that shipping is way to high but I think you mentioned that you are getting a store bye you soon? Sometimes Cabelas has free shipping. Haven't seen that promo for a few months. The store is great, they accept returns on just about everything. They also allow you to ship to the store for free. Sometimes their website has better prices than the store. I don't think I've been to the Cabelas store in over a month.. Having withdrawals!

  4. If a coat doesn't look durable it won't be. Light weight nylon will tend to snag on bushes and thorns. Thick cotton or the thicker nylon will be the most durable. I've seen some reasonably priced work coats like Riggs and others that are much cheaper than Carhart that should work well.

  5. What do you usually do if a muggle asks you what you're doing while caching? I know stealth is the key to geocaching, but I know non-cachers might be wondering what some guy is doing skulking around in the bushes, or looking inside electrical boxes and other places.

Do not be looking inside electrical boxes. Electricity is dangerous and kills "profesionals" every year let alone geocachers hiding stuff where it doesn't belong.

  6. .. have even been approached by men while at a cache site on two different trips. I'm guessing it was a popular location for older gay men to meet and do their things.

That's when you get ready to draw your Fox Labs pepper spray and make them cry like a little girl. If that fails there's always your trusty EDC Spyderco in your back pocket.

  7. Thanks for all the help guys. I do have the NW Trails and the gpsdepot Topos. Can't thank whoever put those together enough. I actually used both of them last weekend. They were great. I was hoping someone might have a water depth map or be able to easily make one. The $$ for the Inland Lakes it pretty steep for the few lakes I'm planning on fishing this year.

  8. Thanks all! I decided on the economical Venture HC. The free maps are more than suitable for me. I'll watch for a good deal on some Inland Lake maps or find a free source for some in Eastern WA. I do have a source for basic paper topo/bathimetric? maps of the lakes around here so I've got a idea of what's under the water.

  9. Merrel and Vasque are toy boots in my opinion. I've destroyed both in record time in a construction environment. Have no experience with Asolo. Leather boots that have a welded on sole or a sewn on sole will last longer. One tip is that if the boot doesn't feel great in the store it won't feel better later. Currently I wear $200+ Redwing work boots and they are tough and comfortable. As far as hiking I have some Merrels that will probably wear out this summer after only using lightly. Bought them for looks. Danner is ok but I find them not very comfortable with a lot of heal slop.
