  1. My family and I have been geocaching for about a year. Last weekend we decided to try benchmark hunting and found six near our house. I have not logged them yet because I would like to know two things first. Should I post the actual coordinates of the benchmark or does this make it too easy for the next guy? I guess what I mean is....is the purpose of the hunt the challenge of actually finding it? Secondly, should I always take a picture and include it with the post? I appreciate some of you experts getting a new guy off on the right foot.
  2. I am looking for help. I am getting a Magellan Meridian Gold for Christmas. I understand that Magellan makes 8, 16 and 32 MB SD cards available. I would rather have more memory and can buy a 256 MD card fairly cheaply but need to do it this weekend because of a local sale. Will the Meridian accept a 256 or is 32 the upper limit. I appreciate comments from those with more knowledge than I about this. Thanks in advance.
  3. Am I to read that you prefer the Magellan Meridian (like a gold for instance), but not to spend money on the color? And am I also reading you are a Corvette fan?
  4. I have been geocaching for about a month with a borrowed Magellan SportTrak Map. I am really enjoying it and am going to buy my own GPSr. After doing some research, I had sort of decided to buy an ETrex Legend ($160 locally), however, during some Christmas shopping this weekend I ran across a store that has discounted all of their Magellan Meridian color GPSr's to $260. The money is not the issue, as long as I can be convinced that it is money well spent. Right now I would use it just for geocaching but could see its usefuleness expanding in the future. I would appreciate thoughts on this. Actually, I would also appreciate comments about other models that I should consider in the range of $160-260. Thanks in advance.
