Como é que eu posso ver as landmarks no google maps? Há alguma forma de ter o googlemaps a funcionar apenas offline? É uma grande limitação do google maps. Funciona muito bem, os mapas são muito intuitivos mas é preciso estar online. Se desse offline era perfeito.

Hi all, unfortunately my garmin 450 have a cracked display so I'm thinking to use my cell phone nokia 5530. The problem is that have no GPS. I can buy a bluetooth GPS receiver but I'm not sure if it will work fine. Also, how do I install the maps? Will SmartGPX work with the maps? and bluetooth GPS? Please share your ideas about the best thing I can make! Thanks!

Which is broken, the LCD or the touchscreen (digitizer)? Both, and the combined part for many GPSs are available from several vendors inexpensively. Have you looked on ebay or researched on the internet? Its the LCD, not the touchscreen. I didn't find it anyware, can you send me some links with it? I could find on ebay the touchscreen but not the LCD, or both togheter. Please send me some links. Thanks

Hi all, In Europe the replace of the unit for a new one would cost me about 150 euros, about 205$. Very expenssive. I will try the garage sales. Those LCDs are very hard to find (didn't find any) and they are very expensive on garmins side. too bad :S

How can I send the favorite to Garmin? Is any way in garmin to see the favorite of a cache? Like hint and comments, will be possible to see favorite points? Thanks

Is anyway to filter the waypoints? When i load the map I can see all POI together. Its a mess, When i'm looking only for a specific POI, can I see only that POI or I have too see all at same time.

How about map rendering? Is it faster?

Hi all, imagine you select to go from place A to B, but at middle of the rout you get a lot of traffic. Is anyway to recalculate the the route? So, you could choose, witch you prefer, even is its a longer route, you can skip traffic. I'm using an oregon 450. Thanks for support.

I think 450 is also 2k and not 5k.

I just started using GSAK for some days, so I have a lot to lear. I see one macro to save spoiler pics, but the intructions were in Deutch :S This one I also use this and i like it very mutch. My question now, is how I manage/edit the cache data. Edit: I found This but it only allows me to edit on notepad, not on GSAK gui.

But can I edit the text before sending it to GPS? I'm not sure about how Spoiler2POI works, do I have to save picture by picture by hand? Thanks!

Hi all, when a multicache have a longer description I can't read it all on oregon x50. I can see part of the description, but not the full description, so in most of the cases i'm not able to do the cache for lack of information. Is any way to send the full description? Or, can I edit the text from description and send it? Imagine, remove the english description, keeping only PT description. On puzzle, some of them have pictures, if possible, how can I send the pictures? Without having to save them one by one. Thanks!

why its not possible to store the caches on SD card? With a 4GB SD card i could store a endless number of caches.

I also have this problem when i updated the last firmware. Hope they don't take a long time to fix it!

Well, thank you for all replys. I've been thinking and i belive its like windows and mac, they are good tool if they work together. The best of two worlds. For now, i will buy dakota 10 (i think i will not use the 20 features) and i will see how it goes. This was a good discussion, i believe other users will be in the same positions as i'm and this topic will be very useful for them. Thanks to all!
