  1. Ok so those are a little bulky! lol I'm just trying to find an easy and lenghty way to achieve my goal, I didn't mind spending the 30 bucks for digital cam and if it does get walked away with i'll feel bad but i won't feel like i've lost a months savings. The goal of the cache will be to be taken to as many baseball parks as possible, pro or otherwise, and log as many miles as possible, so the way i'm thinking is people will be more inclined to carry a smaller item than a larger item, being i have to attach a tb tag, camera, and envelope i'm wanting to keep the size small so its not cumbersome to take it to its assigned places. I don't think many people would drag an old tire to a ball park! lol
  2. Well as for the disposable its a bit bulkie for a TB. I picked up a credit card size digital for 30 bucks will 107 pics and a lithium battery. Its small, easy to use and can travel further and longer. As for 50 cents a mile, if it last a month and ends up in say, Memphis thats only 438 miles equaling already 216 dollars. the goal is for it to travel for a few months and log thousands of miles. I want to be generous as well as realistic, you never know, someone might pick it up and take it to Australia, i don't want to overcommit myself! lol
  3. thanks for heads up AtoZ but a bugs gotta do, what a bugs gotta do! lol i'm gonna give it a shot and see and if there is someone out there that would disrupt the flow of a travel bug trying to raise money for charity thats akin to ripping off a girlsscout trying to sell cookies and they are just a bad person that shouldn't be involved in such a great hobby!
  4. what! why would they hijack TB's! thats evil!
  5. I wanted to let everyone know that I will be releasing a travel bug into the world today that I hope may benefit more than just us cachers. My travel bug will be attached to a digital camera that I would like those to use to take pictures of themselves and my item as it travels the country. I plan to donate 25 cents per mile logged until a specific date then have the TB and camera sent back by prepaid envelope. Once i receive the camera and "bug" i will let the person with the most creative picture pf my "bug"and the person with the longest "bug jump" choose the two charities to donate the money to. I hope that this encourages more dynamic uses of geocaching and for those to give me ideas on how to make this a great travel bug theme! thanks again everyone and happy caching!
  6. Seriously you guys, its a hobby not a job! No one is making you do this! If you can't find enjoyment and will nitpic every little thing then your daily lives need to be enhanced by more than a recreational hobby.
