  1. No actually they are most often called geotrails. List will be updated tomorrow.
  2. Also, I don't really care about the cache itself, however you could reuse if you like. I only care about the FTF geocoin to make sure it's back in circulation. Actually they will allow you to have caches far from home if you can get a local cacher to look out for the cache while you are away. I have one like that several states away from me without any problems.
  3. Seems I can no longer edit my original post so I will simply post an updated copy of the list when ever I make changes. If anyone knows how I can avoid this and edit the original post I would greatly appreciate the help. Having all of the up to date information in the first post would make this a far better resource in my opinion. Also PLEASE, before posting any new geotrail, check to see if I already have them on the list. 4. Here is the cache in question for anyone that is interested. GC1WQC9 For the record I think you handled this better than I would. Cachers moving caches they feel are out of place is bad enough but moving them because they just have to leave a TB is ridiculous! Why was it so important that they leave a TB that they were willing to risk a cache and TB being muggled? I do not know about others, if I had to choose between my bug meeting its goal or not getting muggled I would choose not muggled every time!
  5. I just realized I didn't give her name. Her name was Ida Courtney. All I know was from the death certificate that said she was buried on Jan. 10, 1929 in Hope Cemetery Salem, OH. Thanks for your help Joe OK I know right where that cemetery is located, found a few caches in the park behind it last year. I will try to get over there early next week to see if I can find the stone for you.
  6. Also do you know where abouts I can find this cemetery? The only reference I could find to a cemetery for the Columbiana County Home was in Lisbon which makes more sense that Akron as Akron is several counties away. If it is in Columbiana County it is actually a shorter trip fro me. Hope I can help you with this.
  7. I'll be heading over that way this weekend should be able to snap a photo for you on Sunday. I will need the name I am looking for any any information you might have about what section she can be found within.
  8. Sounds like a good thing, but why not put one cache in each park rather than one big multi? If the parks people want to have more caches this would be the better way to go as a large multi would tie up a ton of prime areas. Also by placing several caches you also have a chance to hide a variety of types and sizes to really introduce new people to all the variety the hobby has to offer.
  9. You could use zip ties and key rings. Or if the tree is larger rope and rings.
  10. Two lessons learned from all this. 1. Always remember that karma will get you in the end. 2. Never do anything that may light a mother's kids, lol!
  11. Am I missing something here? The kids still got credit for the find so who cares about the find order list? Is this some big deal in your area? Also you question what this " injustice" teaches kids, well I question what lesson you are teaching them by reacting like this over such a petty thing.
  12. Will this be a Geotrail where Cachers receive a prize for finding all of the caches?

  14. Not sure, but this should be moved to the off topic section as it does not deal with geocaching.
  15. Yes this will change your stats. You may be able to change this stat using GSAK though. I must admit though, I am curious what tree climbing cache is a 5/5? Nearly every cache like that I have heard of has been a 3.5 at most.
  16. Only you can see the number on the page.
  17. Most people on here are going to tell you not to leave buisness cards because they will just end up becoming a soggy mess in the cache.
  18. Well I have a newer one hidden behind an amazing local steakhouse you should check out. Also I would recommend doing some of the puzzle caches. The finals are not always amazing but the puzzles are great.

  20. Have you considered doing a pathtags? They are not trackable but they are very popular.
  21. I just copy paste coordinates from a nearby cache then change the numbers.
  22. The largest I have seen so far is either the alien head near the ET Highway or the smiley face in Louisville Ky.
  23. The owner may have made the caches members only to limit the impact Cachers would have on the environment so that the cache could remain in the park. Many parks state/ national parks do not allow any caches due to the environmental damage they can cause.
  24. WOW! That might be the first blog I have ever read that had such an honest title. I honestly can not understand why they continue to cache after reading all that. I really loved the fact that they did an entire rant on cacher entitlement and then followed it up with a rant about how challenges are stupid because they can not qualify for the find. The only good thing I took from that blog was that they used metric measurement rather than English so odds are I will never have to run into them on the trail.
  25. I'm interested in the Bakers County Moonshine one.
