  1. I volunteer to rescue TB's listed on the TB rescue website. We drove 150 miles round trip just yesterday to rescue a TB that was stuck in a cache for over 140 days. I LOVE memorable caching days....it is about the adventure for me....
  2. It is so funny that you brought up this topic...we were in the desert just the other day and ran across a number of freaky cows...our dog was going crazy barking at them.... Look at the crazy eyes and the HUGE nostrils!!
  3. Has this already disappeared? Come on....whoever has it, please move it along....
  4. While locating a cache at an abandoned airstrip, we found a "used gingerbread house" with a box of 9 mm bullets....WHAT a contrast!!
  5. The number of ticks I picked off your jeans vs. the number of ticks you picked off of mine
  6. Garmin has a fantastic Help Desk....call them....
  7. When this happened to me, I called Garmin and they talked me through a number of things and emailed be a link to something (can't remember what)....my point is, don't get rid of it until you have given them the chance to check it out for you...it costs nothing to ask them for help.
  8. I only cache with my Nuvi 500. I follow it for road directions and then set it to the coordinate section of the Nuvi and it gets me right to the cache. I have tried a Colorado 400 and an Oregon 400 and I prefer my Nuvi over both of those.
  9. While you are unable to go for any challenging terrain caches, sit in your recliner and solve some puzzle caches in your area....then you will be ready to hit the ground running when your foot has had a chance to heal.
  10. Remember the UNEXPECTED factor....either the container is unexpected, the location is unexpected, or the way of hiding it was unexpected.....OR the number of ticks now crawling up my leg is TOTALLY unexpected
  11. I take my 14 yr old son - GeoCasey to find the tough ones...he has a cacher's nose and can find just about anything.
  12. I was thrilled that Garyskydive1 and Pair-A-Doxes took my Team Flakes TB sky diving yesterday! HOW COOL!! Where are the unbelievable places your trackables been taken to?
  13. I would!! Spiders scare me more than just about anything!!!!!
  14. You are so welcome!! I look forward to a photo....I have NO idea what I put in that box...
  15. Sorry, I missed the "hate in your heart" bit: Sounds to me like a younger person posted that. "Drama meter" was a reaction to that younger person's overstatement. Actually I have found this thread absolutely hysterical!!! Here we are discussing whether young people can converse like adults, and here the adults are calling each other snobs, correcting each other, and complaining about each other, and each others posts. (WITH oxford comma, okay?) This is turning into a really funny thread. We really aren't giving the kids that high of a bar to reach. I'd say let 'em in. They haven't been doing any worse than the adults for sure.  We didn't "call each other snobs". I am the only snob here....................................................
  16. LOVE the box....is that the Tiki Treasure Box?
  17. This is also my situation after a move...sorry for my ignorance, but where are the Instant Notification settings? http://www.geocaching.com/notify/default.aspx Quickview>premium feature on right side about halfway down> set up notifications. AWESOME!! Thank you for your help...!!
  18. This is also my situation after a move...sorry for my ignorance, but where are the Instant Notification settings?
  19. I don't know what your reading, but nothing here that I have seen has been as vulgar as 4chan. I don't know what YOU'RE reading....YOU'RE not YOUR....makes me nuts.... Drives me nuts too, but when you type this fast you are bound to make a few mistakes! I fixed it. That was just the language arts teacher in me being frustrated by the lack of proper grammar and spelling on cache pages and in the forums...sorry if I attacked.... Some cache pages I have read are just awful...I wonder, would this horrible speller want to know that they look stupid/non-educated or do I just let it go? I have always just let it go.... Hard to say. Would you want someone to point out that this post makes you look like a know it all snob? I honestly do NOT care if anyone thinks I am a know it all snob when it comes to grammar and spelling. I am positive that everyone knows a lot more about many other things then I do.... I also do not believe that my post made me look like a snob...that is your reflection but not my reality... So, with that said, if anyone ever wants a proofreader for their cache pages, let me know...someday, I may need your help with something and I will call on you for assistance. I think helping each other out makes us part of the geocaching community team. An added note to GOF and Bacall - I just read your Puzzle Cache description, Blinded with..., if you would like help with correcting the spelling and grammar errors, I am happy to help you with that....NOW I look like a SNOB..... No, you looked like a snob when you started correcting the postings of others in this thread. Seems there use of they're wasn't up to snuff. As far as correcting my grammar well ya cin taik yur halp hoam witch ya. Us unedumacated stoopid peepols don kneed yur hep. I, in fun, corrected ONE posting not "postings"...and it was your and you're not there and they're...good luck to you and your "unedumacated" cache postings.
  20. Shouldn't that be, "than"? Is that what the kids mean when they say, " hoisted by your own petard"? YUP!! "Than" it is!! LOL!! Happy Day All!!
