I know this product seems like it is always on its last legs but I just noticed that there is beta software available for the Mac. I downloaded it and tried it out and it worked for me. So anyone out there that has a geomate jr and a mac you can now add PQs to your device. It is a little hard to find the software on their site but here is a link. Mac Software link it does say "geomate loader beta coming soon" but if you click on the Mac icon it should download the software you need

I got a steal of a deal on a couple of these units just for my kids to use while we all cache with my 450, I haven't used them yet as I am waiting for the Mac update. Hopefully tomorrow they release that as well!

No markings on the edge and only a series number that you can see on the back.

Sadly I thought it was trackable when I grabbed it from the cache. So I didn't trade for any swag, but I will make it even with our next larger find. I'm pretty amazed it made it so long "in the wild" and hadnt been swallowed up.

I never realized that there is such thing as a non trackable geocoin. I thought I would share. Now I am wondering what I should do with it? Have you checked eBay? The geomate jr is going through some growing pains, went belly up and then bought by another company who is trying to fix all the issues and the accompanying software. Good luck

When you uploaded the field notes did you check the "don't include notes from X-date" maybe those cache finds were from previous to that? Hope that helps

Still no news? I was on the trail today and heard a LOT of speculation and no hard facts, when are we going to know? Do we have a timeframe?

I am still getting error messages when trying to update using my iMac, even though it says that it is supposed to work with Firefox. Anyone using a Mac having success?

In case anyone is interested I successfully loaded the Mid USA cache list yesterday. I think that their website may be back in action. I am interested and I just tried again and all I get is "Cannot retreive file xmlRequest... undefined" Still no go for me

I did notice today that when you are navigating to a cache and got to "Where to" the menu has changed from "route on road" to "change route activity" and it gives you many more options.

I went there today and it appears to be looking properly but when I select an update I keep getting "Cannot retrieve file with xmlRequest...undefined" error Is it just me? Or is the site still hooped?

I just updated mine and found a cache, I don't see many changes but didn't look really hard.

How do you that? Edit the header?

I have looked on ebay and come up empty. I am looking for varying sizes. Nano, bison, and regular. I do live in Canada so if you have a suggestion that ships to Canada that would be awesome.

It seems like I haven't had an update in ages. Have they stopped issuing updates for these "older" units? I sure hope not. I always like the new bells and whistles they give us with updates.

Someone has had one of my TBs for a little over a month, he is a fairly new cacher. Should I email them and ask if they could move along my TB? Or leave it alone? My concern is that if I do ask that they might place it in an "unsafe" cache just to appease me. Just looking for your opinion. This is one of my first TBs that I have owned.

Did you ever sell these? I would be willing to give you 50$ for them (shipped). Please don't take this as an insult but with them being discontinued and may not have mac software it really is a gamble for me.
