  1. My favorite way to clean a peanut butter jar is to use an ammo can.
  2. I love the favorites system, I hope GS doesn't change a thing.
  3. Hey Guys, I'll admit I've never been too much into benchmarking (yet) but I think I know one when I see it. I was on vacation in Cancun Mexico and ran across this disk on the beach. I'm thinking it is a Mexican benchmark? Anyone know anything about this?
  4. I recently hid a cache in a pretty remote location. I put a travel bug in it that I had found in another cache. My cache was just published and I want to show that the TB is in there. However I don't want to log the cache so that the FTF game is ruined by me signing the log just to put in the TB. So my question is: how do I log a TB in a new cache without actually showing a "found it" in the cache log.
  5. I just placed a cache with five $1 lotto scratch off tickets for the FTF prize.
  6. Great idea, I'll definitely do that. Thanks!
  7. Hello all, I placed a cache in an AWESOME location on the Quebec side of Lake Timiskaming and they won't approve my listing without a local sponsor. Would someone near this location be willing to be the cache sponsor? I worked very hard on this cache and really want to get it listed. The coordinates are N 47° 05.158 W 079° 25.000. Please help!
  8. Ahh I know! The stupid thing timed-out on me when I tried to post it. I guess the moderator will have do delete the other posts...
  9. 1. 50% of people hate micros, 40% hate the people who hate micros, 10% wish everyone could just get along. 2. Swag in any given cache tends to go from awesome to trash over time. This is worth complaining about. 3. There is no rating system. There might be one someday. at least 90% of this forum is dedicated to this debate. 4. Sometimes caches are mistaken for bombs. It's very exciting when this happens 5. unique cache containers can be seen here: http://forums.Groundspeak.com/GC/index.php?showtopic=62421. It's one of the best parts of the whole website. 6. Everyone wants assurance that they are no longer a "noob." People's comments on the internet are a good thing to find your identity in. 7. Signature item pictures. "I'll show you mine if you'll show me yours..." 8. GPSr questions. As far as I can tell, no one's GPS actually ever works. Also, no one knows how to post in the right forum. 9. Complaining. Because ranting and raving about park-and-grabs on the internet is more effective than not looking for them. 10. Everyone wishes they were out caching instead of looking at these boring, redundant message boards. I know I do.

  11. Wow! 15 replies that are basically all in agreement! I will definitely find a way to personalize the casings. It's a good excuse to go to the range and fire some large caliber bullets. Thanks guys
  12. Hi guys, I was thinking about what I would like to use as my signature piece of swag that I drop in every box. I want it be unique, memorable and have something to do with me. I'm big into hunting and shooting so I was thinking I could leave spent bullet casings. These are the small brass tubes that pop out of the gun after you pull the trigger. Obviously they are completely harmless, they are simply brass tubes. However I'm wondering if this would be a bad idea? I guess to someone with no idea they could look like live rounds. I'm rather new to the swag game, what do you guys think?
  13. Hey guys, I just bought a PN-30 and a premium membership on geocaching.com. I would like to load all the geocaches in my area on to my GPS unit. I understand that the best way to do this is pocket queries. I've run them and have gotten the file in my email. My questions is: How do I move the pocket query file in my email to my GPS? Also, why is it a .loc file instead of a .gpx as promised with my premium membership? I downloaded Cache Register but that has proven useless. It gives me all kinds of error messages and I've given up trying to figure that dumb thing out. This is the biggest thing preventing me from really starting to enjoy geocaching, I'd really appreciate some help getting over this last hurdle. Thanks!
