  1. Years ago I read that on a Gps with 12 channel’s only 5 was used to calculate the position. Some one who knows the facts?
  2. Anyone able to compare Garmin 60 ..x against HCx??
  3. As known the City Navigator ver. 8 i now shipping. Just spoke to Garmin DK that CN realeases CS. Isues about this has been circulating for some time. Another issue about the map segement size is alsow reawealed, looking at the Garmin mapwiever for CN ver 8 Eu, the segements are mutch larger than the CS ver 7.
  4. Try to look at Garmin Quest, thats a versatile product.
  5. Just seen on the garmin.de site that Quest 2 EU version is released with CN as software
  6. Using CS ver 7 Eu, i´m waiting for the ver 8 which i think will be released soon. Last year Garmin relased ver 7 in the start of Dec. Sow maybe this release will reveal what Garmin are planing to do.
  7. I have to argue about the voice prompting using CS ver. 7 and a Quest When coming to a roundabout the voice prompt is: enter roundabout, take first, second or third road.
  8. Depending howmutch you are going to use it as a handheld try looking at the Quest. It´s cheaper and has voice guidance.
  9. I would go for a Quest, a friend has a 330, but i find i hard to go Geocaching with.
  10. When researching the Quest, I thought I read somewhere that it could not be charged through it's USB port, it was for data only. (I went through many websites and forums, of course now I can't find the source) Have you used any of these charging devices you are talking about? (also, where would I find them? I did some searching, but may be using the wrong terminology to get hits). Still, since I mostly use my GPS for driving, and only an occasional Geocache here and there, (with no hunts going longer than an hour so far), I'll probably be getting the Quest 2 the next time I get a 10% off coupon at Buy.com. Well your are wrong, Garmin explicit stats that usb is not for charging.
  11. If you knew the Quest, you will know how wrong you are. But i will turn it around, The handheld you mention, are not designed for Auto use. I use my Quest for Geocaching. On a event last weekend, i found 3 FFc, working alone, only using the Quest.
  12. I use my quest for Geocaching even under trees it works great. Tryied it side by side with a Garmin 2610, where it hold more signal on the bars than the 2610. For longer trips i use a external Antennea from Glisson??
  13. I think that the Quest 2 will be ubgradeable like the 2720 via a DVD.
  14. Is it possibel for you to make one for Denmark.
  15. It depends, how much memory has the new Quest 2 ?? If it has all the CS on board and still has 140 mb left over, it must have about 2 gb. memory totaly.
  16. You forgot the Quest. The Quest comes with the City Select. The Quest does a great job in the woods, and i easy to carry
  17. Good choise, notice. When presssing the speak button for 3 sec. on the Quest, a Motor Cycle Ear Bud Volume Control appears. That is not documented in the user manual. I think Garmin has a mount for motorcycle, but there is now picture yet.
  18. Try to look at this weppage: http://www.billcotton.com/quest_on_bicycle.htm
  19. Your right, it only has a battery life for 20 hours.
  20. Try to look at the Garmin Quest, All software for autorouting and cables is included in the price.
  21. New maps deletes old maps. Sow you wil have load all the maps at one time.
  22. Try to look at the Garmin Quest, it comes with CS ver 7 Autorouting, Waterresistant, in usa 149 mb ram, Europe 243 mb ram. I has a battery for Geocaching and comes with mounts at batterycharger as well. Try to look for a topic in this area regarding Geocaching with Quest
  23. Elsinga you are speaking about multiple tracks which is not in Quest for the moment, what is multiple tracks. Loked at your hompage can´t find it.
  24. Iám the happy owner of a Quest, i have dowloaded som waypoints, but i would like the waypoints only to be visibel when zooming in to at certain level. The problem is when zooming out, you only can se waypoints on the map.
