  1. Please disregard, I was able to find the information needed. Happy caching.
  2. Well I'll be...I sat and looked at that screen for ages, and never saw that option. It just goes to show that after a while you actually stop seeing familiar things and have your brain fill in details... Thank you very much for the quick response. I'm feeling a tad sheepish right now..lol Happy caching. Jere
  3. Evening, I'm trying to run a PQ of all of my caches so that I can import them into GSAK and sort through them for a couple of challenge caches. Currently I'm only getting the active caches, as well as the ones that are temporarily disabled. Is there a way to include the Archived caches to the PQ and I'm just missing it? Many of the archived caches bear on the challenges, and it would make life much easier to be able to sort them in GSAK. Thanks, Jere P.S. I'm sure that this has been touched on in the forums before, but a search didn't turn up the information.
  4. I've looked into a few of these cameras because my better half was interested in one for her birthday. From the Olympus and the Cannon models of pocket cameras I've seen reviewed its come to my attention that these can be iffy propositions gpswise. A couple of concerns that popped up were issues of battery usage due to the gps being on even when the camera is off making them battery hogs. And the amount of time they take to find themselves satellite wise. In some cases upwards of 10 minutes or more. As far as battery life is concerned, you can carry extra batteries for the trips. But for the gps connection, some reviewers stated that as many as 40% or better outside pics were ungeotagged and better than 90 inside due to loss of lock or just the time it takes to connect after the phone is turned on. I love the idea of a gps enabled phone, but think I will wait a bit for refinements.
  5. How do you differentiate between the found and unfound caches in the Oregon? Are they in different folders or do they have different extentions? Thanks
  6. I'm trying to set this up as well, where did you find the settings to set this at? Thanks
  7. Greetings, I've recently recieved my Garmin 450 for Padre's Day, and am looking at purchasing the Mid West Topo map from the Garmin website. I've seen that they offer three different ways of delivery for the map, Download, CD, and SD card. I am wondering which is considered the best way to get this map? Is it better to have the maps resident in the internal memory for faster access? Or is it better to have it on the SD card so you can swap it out quicker? Lastly, is the map worth the cost outlay. I imagine that it has to be much more detailed than the basic map that came with the unit..but are there other sources out that that are as good? Sorry for all the questions, I'm still wading into this new world here and trying to figure my way through without missing out on some neat caches of info along the way.
