  1. Hiding behind a duck does not support this premise. On the other hand, he/she did offer to fix a disabled cache for a cacher. If we ask, maybe he/she will fix our caches as well. I got several notices on some of my caches up here as well... I've got several that are way past time to do something about...I just don't like the idea of a sock-puppet posting all those notes... Maybe they have found all the caches in this area already...so they are trying to get more new hides for them to find. Let me know if you need help. I have no containers now, though.
  2. I'm not on the list because I actually do maintenance on my caches But it's not me, because my name doesn't rhyme with any of those, and besides I wouldn't pay $30 bucks a year to do something I could do with my own account and then blame on Rooster. How "Holier Than Thou," Snake! I've been nailed on Mont-Saint-Michel (for some reason, the commie pinko went easy on me with his courtesy notice), and we're planning on fixing that one up on Saturday. I promise you it's not me... You should have S&R replace it for you. He can just walk right across the water in five minutes to replace it.... Ahhh, the life of the unemployed. Plenty of time for cache maintenance!

  4. Kent Allard is our hero! Hmm . . . I don't mind that he has decided to play conscience for Southern California . . . we can all probably use one to keep us honest. Everyone one of us has gotten sloppy on cache maintenance from time to time. But a conscience with zero finds / zero hides who professes to love geocaching? I smell socks. A sock puppet that paid $30 for premium membership? Ron Tom John Sean . . . is that you?
  5. So when Ginger gets tired, what, she just takes one paw and pins Mocha to the ground?
  6. Ooooh, ooooh, I want one of those! As long as none of my kin were used in the making of that pack
  7. Probably not a sock puppet, since he has a premium membership. Maybe someone who has too much time on his hands? Certainly his SBA logs should not cause anyone to archive their cache. Just go check on it. A lot of those on his list are in areas burned, and owners are probably waiting for the area to recover. Hmm, aren't the quotes of Darkwing Duck on his profile page a violation of copyrights? <edited for spelling, duh>
  8. Thanks for resurrecting this one. I remember when you first posted it. It's got to be one of my all time favorite forum pictures.
  9. Has anyone else tried the cipher in the child's room? I get what's below, but it doesn't seem quite right. caval, the archer's child; curious, bright -- your quicegildpivotsald leaps like a dancer. the key to preserving curiosiity's light is to love the question as much as the answer
  10. Here is some 13 pages of critters found while caching in San Diego.
  11. Am I being hypnotized? You will send all of your savings to Snake & Rooster . . . You will send all of your savings to Snake & Rooster . . .
  12. Am I the only one who finds this amusing?
  13. This is probably the first good reason that anyone has come up with for LPCs!
  14. Well, Chuy, I'll tell you the same thing my sister today me when I rescued Kacy, "In for a penny; in for a pound".
  15. You could get a Magellan Triton 1500. It has a touch screen, but will cost you around $400. Or, you can get a Garmin that doesn't have a touch screen, but really works
  16. Perfect for eliminating micro spew. Indeed...but if this catches on, it could be dangerous to eat at a fast food restaurant in the UTC, Convoy, Balboa areas... Sad, but true.
  17. You think that is sneaky? I have an archived cache that nobody is watching.... I add three finds to it per week....lol... No wonder you haven't said anything about our extra posts on that same cache. If it wasn't for your cache, we'd probably only have a couple of hundred finds. I can see it now in the stats.... 3415 caches, 2 unique caches. And I log every event at least 15 times, but it's ok, because I walk in and out of the door that many times.
  18. Perfect for eliminating micro spew.
  19. Spreading chemicals in your own home to keep animals out--fine with me. Spreading chemicals in the animals' home to keep animals out--very bad idea!

  21. With the exception of this one, I have never seen a front yard cache done well. They are uncomfortable for cachers to do, and can lead to all sorts of problems with your neighbors. I ususally ignore them.
