  1. And you also figured out how to make it give off all those cool sounds that Jahoadi loves so much
  2. WoooooHoooooooo! Cock-a-dooooodle-doooooooo! WoooooHoooo! Cock-a-doooooodle-dooooo! Norbu! It all rhymes
  3. I just got off the phone with DocDiTTo. He's on his way up the rat hole with Gobolts! What a popular guy huh? I will pick him up at his hotel at 2:15-2:30 and head to cornado to meet John, do a few caches and then head south for the None More Southwesterly. We'll meet Br Boggis at the parking coods for the forbidden Forest at 8:00 pm. If anyone wants to join the fun I estimate we'll be at Hanging Out in Harbor View by 3:15-3:30. Leave a post so we have an idea if anyone's gonna be there. There are some caches on the way down the strand and in IB on the way to the southwesterly cache. I just realized, (and wondered if anyone else has), how seemingly unusual it is that a bunch of San Diego cachers have essentially adopted a visiting out-of-town cacher, and taken time out of their own lives to make him feel at home, and help him have a good time while he is here. This is, I think, very unusual in these times--very special, and speaks volumes about the people in the SD caching community. I feel privileged to have met at least some of you.
  4. Great job Team Fatman! and Congrats to Duncan!! We gave up trying to keep up with you a looong time ago
  5. So here's what I'm thinking: Black Beard's Grotto Indiana Jones: Lost City of Atlantis Gateway to the Submerged Forest Yukon Diving La Cucaracha Rio The Womb And if there's still time, we can finish with some of the caches on Sunrise Highway. Anyone with me? At least the storm might remove some of the local residents of La Cucaracha Rio
  6. Hmm . . . I wonder if Redrox is just paying a karmic debt for her cache, "Sign the Log"? What goes around, comes around. What's done in the dark, shall come to the light.
  7. Glad we did this one before it turned into an outhouse.
  8. Honk. Princess T used her picture, but here is the original. I must say I am glad I didn't see the hipo on our visit.
  9. Pat, Let's be fair. It was ONLY 15 pieces. 14 of which have healed up nicely with one floater still hanging around in my triceps somewhere. And it was a little more than a "flesh wound" (oh you know it's time for a token re-appearance of your fav photo) <barf mode> </barf mode> BTW...Saw "Spamalot" on Broadway last month. Very very funny! Must see if you're a Python fanatic! --TT-- Oh boy that reminds of when I was about 9 mor 10 and my Mom worked for a veterinarian. They would do all their surgery at night and I would get to watch. Sometimes staying up until 1 or 2 in the Morning, lots of neat stuff Meatloaf again? Not sure why, but always thought they used screws, not wire. Oh, BTW Jeff, you got way too much fat in that elbow. Better start doing some curls.
  10. "Oh. Oh, I see. Running away, eh? You yellow bastards! Come back here and take what's coming to you. I'll bite your legs off!"
  11. Great! I'll sync the Cachemate and Garmin with the new caches and meet you all at 9:00! Jeff Unfortunately, I think we've done all of the caches on this map If anyone gets stuck on any of these and needs a lifeline, feel free to call. I won't put my cell number on the forum, but there are a number of people attending that have it. Alternately, you can email us and I'll email you back the number if you want it. --Rich
  12. We never signed up for the automatic email notification... It works better the old fashoned way for us , sometimes we even write coords down and PUNCH THEM IN BY HAND ~Jess You guys and your FTF mania are quite entertaining for us slow pokes! Try this FTF utility; it works off a pocket query. I find it more useful than the Notifications, and it works as long as the pocket query is being generated. Your link doesn't seem to be working for me, Chuy, but I suspect that you are using the same one that we've been using for a long time. I like it better than the notifications. 'course, it doesn't help when you are hiking all day and lose out on a bunch of FTFs to John & Jess
  13. click on the little image like this one that is next to the threads. OIC. Duhhhhh. Obviously I'm not the sharpest tool in the drawer. Thanks.
  14. I'm doing the same thing. Some of the new buttons/features are not too intuitive to me. I guess we'll get used to it....... Grrrrrrrr. The old forum had a button where you could go to new posts within a thread. I don't seem to be able to find it in the new format. Has anyone found a way to skip straight to the new posts within a thread?
  15. You should be able to send your GSAK query to MapSource first, and then download from MapSource to your GPSr until Clyde can fix it. It would be easier than punching them in by hand
  16. It's worth a try. I am going to give it a try. The scratch I have is right in the center, courtesy of a boulder.
  17. I don't think so. She is pretty easy. She lets you walk all over her.
  18. Ok... REI is the only place to buy a GPS or software. Yes it will cost more...however comma you have a life time warranty... And no down time...and you don’t have to send it to the manufacture. REI replaces it for any reason (except loss of theft)...say you brake it...or want to upgrade or your wife tells you it is her or the GPS...they will give you back what you paid. Dang...I just cracked open my box of soap...so I must get down now! The REI Guarantee And this is precisely why, the next time I buy, I will do as you suggest. I have a deep scratch on the face of my 60CS that I live with. Had I spent the extra bucks at REI, I would have switched it out.
  19. Lila can answer all of those questions for you.
  20. I'd like the new chipset, but I can't justify it yet. Besides, then I wouldn't have an excuse for not finding the caches.
  21. A quicky goooogle search of images, Now if he had pictures with him there? I think Harmon can arrange that . . . especially after all the cowboy jokes Chuy has been writing
  22. And you have pictures of this place, how???
  23. Yeah, those are very nice with Sirf III and memory cards. They have been talking about them over in the Software Forum for several months. I may have to put my 60cs on EBay. RM You may want to wait until they work the bugs out of sending waypoints to the GPSr vial GSAK. I imagine there will be a fix in the near future. Personally, I'm glad there are problems, or I'd be tempted to run out and buy it now.
  24. Sweeeeet! Great choice for 700. Like Trailgators, we've been looking at this as a future hike, but need to wait for Snake's broken rib to completely mend.
