  2. I won't be able to make it this time. I just got my schedule and I am working this Sat/Sun. Hopefully I can make it out to next one. ~dennisro
  3. Hmmmm, I'm also going to need some snowboots for the snowshoes right?
  4. Hi. I am new to Moses Lake and new to Washington State. I am interested in joining a group or to just meet people around the area that likes to geocache. I plan on getting to all the caches in the area and then the surrounding areas and also want to do a few geo-hikes. If anyone is interested in meeting a new geocacher, let me know. If any good groups are out there in Washington, let me know who you are. If there are new geocachers in the area, we can grab all the geocaches together. Thanks dennisro
  5. Hi everyone. I just moved to Moses Lake and I am new to Washington. I am interested in this beginners snowshoe hike. I begin my new job on the 4th and if I don't work that weekend I would love to go. I will look for some cheap snowshoes. You said that poles are not necessary? What sucks about Moses Lake is that there is really no place to buy sporting things here. Also, where do we park? I am not familiar with the area. If anyone is coming from the east and wants a passenger, I can gladly meet you somewhere. I plan on doing a lot of geo hikes this summer and to explore the area. Thanks dennisro
  6. Had plans for Sunday 9/5 and now it's shot. So I figure on that nice day I would go hiking in the Cold Springs area of NY and do some geocaching. I live in NYC so I will be catching the metro north in the morning and spending the day hiking, viewing the scenic spots, and geocaching. Anybody else wants to join me? Let me know. I figure i'll get back late afternoon or early evening. Maybe grab a beer before heading back. It will be very casual. I just love geocaching while hiking. Let me know. ~dennis p.s. forgot to mention, if you have a car and want to drive i'm willing to pay tolls and stuff. And we don't have to do Cold Springs, we can go to another mountain. As long as there are geocaches around.
  7. Hi. I live in manhattan and i want to go out and do some trail caches. I don't have a car so I will have to metro to where we are going or better yet, if you have a car, i am willing to chip in on gas and stuff. I consider myself a beginner trailer but I have just recently done a palisades parkway 29 mile trail and picked up some caches while hiking with the meetup group. If you are also interested in getting some trail caches, let me know. Thanks ~dennis
  8. I got into geocaching thru my iphone. When i got my iphone, i searched the app store for free apps and geocaching came up. Give partial thanks to smartphones for the increase.
  9. Hi. I am new to geocaching and have found only 26 caches. I am using an apple Iphone 3GS and i like it a lot as it has not gotten me lost. Anyway, I want a cheap GPS, under $60, to accompany my 3GS since it drains the battery. Also, I can give it to my friend when she wants to accompany me on finds. She tags along to talk stories and laugh at me while I look for the cache. I figure if I give her a gps then she will stop talking Help me out here as I love my friend but she is one pain in the ***. But she does bring the drinks Thanks!
