  1. You must realise that the coins you buy from geocoin collectors (on eBay) or trade for in the geocoin forum here are 'unactivated' geocoins obtained legitimately, those are not geocoins which have been activated by some geocoin owner and stolen from a cache. You would have to be a pretty stupid person to auction stolen property on eBay. There are 'some' who lift travellers from caches and keep them, but that's all they can do with them. Attempting to trade or sell those would be a big mistake. BTW Wadders, Unfortunate that you missed the Garmin Stonehenge geocoin, I did mention that those Garmin coins very rarely appear on eBay. When that's the case, collectors shell out wads for 'em.
  2. Spotted one over at the ebay place, location Cheshire. auction ends in around 6.5 hours. Link Here I also noticed quite a few other unactivated Garmin geocoins over there, namely 'Angel of the North', 'Big Ben', Clifton Suspension Bridge' and the 'London Eye'. I don't see those geocoins coming up very often. Hope you get this reply before the auction ends, good luck.
  3. I do not like the headache inducing 'wishy washy' colour scheme, especially the grey. I mean, who puts white on a grey background? TOO MANY LIGHT COLOURS, SOME CONTRAST NEEDED.... PLEASE! Whinge mode deactivated.
  4. Always remember you are unique.... just like everyone else.
  5. I've often wanted to drown my troubles, but I can't get my wife to go swimming. My Dad used to say 'always fight fire with fire', which is probably why he got thrown out of the fire department. When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bike. Then I realised that The Lord doesn't work that way, so I stole one and asked him to forgive me.
  6. $300 for a Velcro Bra? What a rip off! IRS: "We've got what it takes to take what you've got." Next time you wave, use all your fingers! Rehab Is for Quitters! You're just jealous because the voices only talk to me.
  7. This is the Boot I personally swear by, I spent four hours trudging through swampy fields around Humberside and my feet were completely warm and dry when I took my Boots off later in the day. When muddy, I use a stiff brush and a hosepipe and then leave them to dry before polishing. Have a good look on the website, everything you could ever need and great prices too. Oh, and the black soles don't leave any marks on the floor/carpets. http://www.goliath.co.uk/index.php?p=72 looks like a good boot Ian, it doesn't say how much ? Jim Hi Jim, if you follow the 'BUY IT ONLINE' button you can search for a stockist near you, I bought two pairs for £90 locally. Just looking around the net, I found some here on a clearence offer for £53.00 Including VAT (link below). It is possible to get them a little cheaper, but don't pay anything over £55 as a rule. http://www.polimil.co.uk/acatalog/Goliath_...html#aGTE01LGTX I'm still on my first pair of these Boots and I wear them every day, possibily the best Boots I've ever bought. Regards, Ian.

  9. Holy smoke, I beat GATOULIS ! Miracles never cease ! Thank you so much for the cointest, it's a nice geocoin and it deserves a great icon to go with it. Contact details sent, thank you ! Woooooooooooot !
  10. I decided to incorporate the Belgium flag into the country shape. - Ian
  11. Hi, I also got one of those emails and I believe it was a new listing which was quickly removed. Interestingly, it was a Tranquility Blue Is My World in Gold, I think all ebay members who have tranquilities on their watch list probably got one of these emails. After reading recent posts in this thread it would appear ebay have got their wires crossed.

    Geo coins

If you go into the Geocoin forum there's a whole load of information in the pinned posts at the top. - Ian.
  13. There are a couple on ebay at the moment, search for 'airforce' and select the 'worldwide' option. One auction ends in about 20 minutes so you may miss that one, the other is a 'Buy Now' Both geocoins are trackable, hope that helps.
  14. I've recently bought several bags of acrylic gemstones in all shapes and sizes from 'allstarco dot com' Cache visitors seem to like them, because they disappear pretty quickly
  15. 'Thumbs down' is open to real abuse, thumbs up or decline rating would be better.
  16. darn it...and i was saving up for the "pink elephant" edition or the "800 pound gorilla" black nickel edition! oh well, i guess those editions won't be minted now. I think Jackalgirl is already working on those two Anyway, I've seen a few postings around the net quoting minting numbers for specific editions. If someone can clarify these it would be useful, perhaps we could create a list of all versions with minting numbers included for people looking for specific information about these wonderful coins. Tranquility Artists Edition Antique Copper - (30 Minted) Tranquility Antique Bronze - (25 Minted) Tranquility Sepp & Berta Pink - (100 Minted) Tranquility Antique Gold - (75 Minted) Tranquility Blood in the Ocean - (15 Minted) Tranquility German Black Forest - (25 Minted) Tranquility Portugal Edition Black Nickel (75 Minted) Tranquility Portugal Edition Gold Limited Edition (25 Minted) It would be nice to get numbers for some of the other version, like the glows for instance.
  17. I can assure you that person who won the auction is an extremely happy chap I've actually bought rarer tranquilities for much less than I paid for this work of art. - Ian. Ain't that the truth. Good thing you didn't need BITO TMA I'm extremely thankful for your 'contributions' to my Tranquility geocoin collection Moop, That was one coin I never thought I'd have the pleasure of seeing, never mind owning. So, thanks!
  18. Personally, as far as shape goes I don't have any preferences, I think it's the subject and artwork which gives a coin its desirability, not the shape. You might also consider coin diameter and thickness, although it can get quite expensive to make the larger, thicker geocoins. A 3d design is much better in my opinion, but the production cost will be much higher. Unique icon - Well, I'd say the majority of collectors prefer trackable coins, but there are those who collect non-trackable personals and mystery coins, it all depends on your reasons for producing a coin.

  23. Congratulations on your 100th Kry10, I also hit my 100th cache today too. I guess that calls for a quick pint at the Wapentake!
