  1. Just a question. Does the Magellan use the new SiRF chipset? I just got my 60CSX and used it in very heavy pine cover, and up against a shale cliff (in a ravine) yesterday with very satisfactory results. I can even get a L/L in my metal office building, 10 feet away from a window.
  2. Dear Group, All 25 coins coins we were willing to trade are gone. Congrats to everyone who got one. I'll get them out ASAP. If you don't get yours in about a week (except for the Germany one) let me know. Everyone who sent an e-mail should have gotten a reply too. So if you didn't get a reply, resend your e-mail. We're looking forward to seeing all the trades! John Twisted Dragons
  3. Since our coins have become so valuable, Linda and I would like to make another 25 available for trading. Although the asking price is now worth 5 to 1, we will be only too happy to trade one for one. Any coins would be acceptable. Please email me with your Geocaching handle, real name, and address. E-mail to K2QY@arrl.net
  4. Dear Group, WOW, they went fast. I am just blown away!!! I'm fairly certain the 50 coins are all gone that quick. Thank to all that e-mailed and sorry to those who wanted one but just have to try to get them in caches. Pay close attention to NE New York, Vermont, and RI. Thanksgiving weekend in MD. I'll make an exact count and if there are any left I'll repost Sunday or Monday evening to try to give anyone a fair chance. 73 John TD
  5. Dear Group, I have been lurking here for a bit, particularly since I was told a picture of our personal GeoCoin had been posted. I have received several PMs asking how to acquire one. So I am posting my message to those cachers here, so those who are interested in a Twisted Dragons coin for their collection may have one. At this point there are about 30 still available. Good luck and keep on caching! John Twisted Dragons To all our Geocaching friends, We gave a lot of thought to simply trading our coins; after all I did mint them to place them in caches. If we trade a lot of them away, I would need to have more made for caching, and as most of you know this is not a cheap process. Also, if we trade too many away, they would be no longer as desirable On the other hand, there are cachers who live in areas we may never get to visit. Those cachers may never get a chance to collect or pass along one of our coins. Their only hope to see one is on line or by trading for one. Personally, although I have saved a few, I really am not interested in collecting coins for the sake of just collecting them. However we do realize that GeoCoin collecting has suddenly become a very popular part of our sport. We have decided to trade up to 50 coins from this first minting, either for another coin or for a fee of $5 each. Please only trade or sell one coin per person or family team. Those cachers who are interested can contact me at K2QY@arrl.net or though Groundspeak by searching Twisted Dragons. Do not forget to include your address and E-mail info. Please send your coin or $5 to: John Fritze Jr. 4 Normanskill Blvd. Delmar, NY 12054 Thank you to all, and we hope to meet you out caching or at an event! Very 73. John (K2QY) and Linda Twisted Dragons
