hi all my email notifications have stopped. in my account section it says i will get them but.......? has it changed? i know am not a supper cacher but i like to see what is close by. any ideas?

We get a lot of artics parked outside my mom an dads house because SatNav have told them its a shot cut to a local depot-shame bout the 7'6 width and 3 tonne limit at the bridge. Also its a problem of the 7 1/2 limit they been driving thru for 20 mins and the 12 warning signs about the restrictions. 'TomTom say this way' is no excuse-maybe they should learn to read road signs!!! ps i am a truck driver with SatNav but common sense takes over sometimes

Hmmm have down loaded the emulator, Hancock Clan, seems to work ok. just need to work out how it works, will really need to look into it how do u get tomtom loaded? how do u get the emulator to see the gps? cann't get my head round it all-how could a prog in a prog see something real????? Wibble guess i'll need to stick it on my laptop and see what happens eh lol

Hi all Was wondering if it possible to get TomTom or similar to run on a PC laptop I attach my gps to laptop and run autoroute to show me where i am, but is there something like TomTom out there that i can use instead?

Tried the waypoint workbenc before, cann't get it to run on my box, only have MS works, which doesn't seem to allow .XLS files, looks like the thing i need tho am still working on it

Will re-phrase (it looked good in my head!!!!) Been to Teasels' converter, wonderfull tool. Would there, by any chance, be a similar site that goes the other way, for when i'm plotting a track in my GPS, so I don't have to keep going thru the menus to change between Lat/Long and Grid? Or does the OS site one do that? Not been there yet?

Example being I do a filter round my home of 30 miles but only want to do the ones on close to a certain road iinstead of doing loads of filters to narrow it down can i just "tick" 'em an print 'em?

Hi all Happy New Year Am a fully paid up GSAK user ver 5 When i do a search and get my list is there anyway to print out just a few of them in no particular order thru the "print/condensed HTML" button rather than the whole lot? Also, how do you put all the fancy pictures under your names in the forum? Ian

I don't personaly think there is any reason why the 2 ways cann't be used together. When i go out walking i use map and compas, find my way close then turn on GPS to get me in close. I been able to use a map since before i was a scout, then used 1 all thru my army career finding broken tanks. Don't think it should be one or the other, GPS doesn't show footpaths and mineshafts and steep cliff, and it is hard to find a long/lat on a map.

Done 5 a day mite change them tho, seem to take a long to download do i need to do them all every week, or just the last 1? i really do have a slow connection(40kbs tops),is quicker to stick a stamp on and post it!! oh well thanx for the help

Did my first with only a map ang the OS grid, when i saw where it was then did the code i realise ti was the tree we used to climb as a kid (only one on that side of the river) Have now got GPS and am gonna start to put it to good use. Planning my first plant over christmas

Hi all again I am,at the moment, doing quite well (i think) Am able to do a filter of where i want to go in GSAK, export it as csv and pop it onto autoroute. Thats fine. My question is i then need to go online to print the webpages for the ones i want to goto. printing is fine by me,not got handheld thing(yet will talk to santa again), but is there anyway to down load the info in 1 go? Is that where the Pocket Queries and GXP files come in (am using loc files from geocacheuk at the moment) I can then zap all the waypoints into my ventura straight from GSAK, but thy come up with the first 8 letters of the name, not the geo 6 figure ref. Is there a way round this,just to make it easyer to cross ref. Last silly one, can you upload tracks into autoroute when i get home? Thanx again in advance Merry christmas to you all Ian
