The paper said that the activation code was "CACHE". The tracking code was 6 digits, and I'm pretty sure that i didn't get either code wrong. The paper also says that I can get the activation code on coincodes.com, but coincodes.com doesn't list any event geocoins.

I got a geocoin with my new Magellan Explorist GC. It is made by Groundspeak/Geocaching. On the top it says "Event Cache", and on the bottom it says "a time and place to get together". I entered the tracking code and activation code written on geocaching.com multiple times using different ways of entering the different codes, but it always says that the activation code does not match. Any ideas on what I should do? Thanks.

The question's impossible to answer if we don't know the make and model of your gps. Explorist gc, Magellan.

I have a gps, and I would like to know how to upload multiple gpx files at once. Also, I would like to know if I need a certain software to upload to my gps, and which software (I use a mac). Thanks for the help.

You'd need to define "average cache" I think your results might be region specific. I'm about 5 times more likely to find a trackable than a pathtag in a cache around here. And there are only 3 other cachers who leave pathtags, so the picking is pretty slim. Chances of finding a trackable in a cache large enough for trackables is actually pretty decent - 25% or better, I'd say. Thanks to you both. Someone could do the study regionalised, I guess... Does anyone know of someone who has actually done a study like this?

Has anyone tried or thought of trying to figure out what the chance of a cacher finding a trackable or pathtag in an average cache is? It must be fairly easy to figure this out for travel bugs, geocoins, pathtags, etc. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks. Edit for length.
