  1. I have been using Geosphere for several months now and just realized I have not opened the GC app since I downloaded Geosphere. GREAT app. Question for the group: I downloaded a .gpx file that has a trail "track" and I've put it in the same Group as the caches in that area but I can't seem to get the track points to show on the Geosphere map view. It is possible to load such a track and use it in Geosphere? Thanks, Stewj
  2. Speaking of those MapQuest trails, does anyone know if there is a way to download those trails from MapQuest to the GPSr? Stewj
  3. Was looking for the answer myself tonight and found the solution. I also didn't have the "Newest in Rhode Island" link until I went into the account details page and added my mailing address to my account profile. As soon as I saved it, the link was on my profile page. I also learned that you do not need to list your entire address, you can put just the city/state or just just the state. Happy Caching... Stewj
  4. 62ST Question. I just got a new 62ST and have it loaded (using Base Camp). I noticed tonight that when I look at the logs for any cache on the device, ALL of the logs for every cache look like this: 12/27/2011. {username} N 00 00.000' E 000 00.000' Distance: 5268 mi {log text........} Could someone explain the 0 coordinates and the distance of 5268 ? Thanks, Stewj
  5. I have frequently heard Geocaching referred to as a "game" and when you remove the scoreboard from the game it removes all the fun. I can tell you that quick look at my friends list to see who's leading was the quickest way to keep the interest in the game. I know there are other ways to find the "score" but it involves way too many steps. Please bring the friends hides/finds count back!!!!!!!!!!!!
  6. This topic has been a good read as I'm shopping for a new GPS and considering the 450. I'm still a novice GC'er with only 45 finds so I can't help but ask... Besides "because it can", why would you want to load 5000 caches on the device anyway? (no sarcasm inferred) Just trying to understand the full concept.
