  1. I would have been tempted to take a picture of the cop as he approached me, also activating my pocket voice recorder right then...but that's just the troublemakin' rebel in me...
  2. I am looking for the latest Magellan software for a Gold...is it MapSend DirectRoute North America that is the latest up-to-date street-detailed program for the Magellans? Does anyone know when that was updated? I don't want to use the turn-by-turn directions, can I toggle that off with the program? Anyone willing to...ahem...uh, 'sell' one to me? Thank you. 360.
  3. That's cool, just as long as it's not 'silly'....
  4. Really, though, isn't EVERY cache in Hawaii a great cache?
  5. I normally only beeline and machete my way straight through to the cache when I am in a Wilderness Area or Nature Preserve...
  6. Yes, the noise is normal. Nothing to worry about, until you come down with a brain tumor in 30 years...
  7. The hypocrisy runs deep, don't it?
  8. Caching with children must be tough, I tend to use smaller trade items that will fit into the cache a bit easier...
  9. I was totin' my pack along the long dusty Winnemucca road When along came a semi with a high canvas covered load If your goin' to Winnemucca, Mack, with me you can ride And so I climbed into the cab and then I settled down inside He asked me if I'd seen a road with so much dust and sand And I said, 'Listen! I've traveled every road in this here land' I've been everywhere, man I've been everywhere, man Crossed the deserts bare, man I've breathed the mountain air, man Travel...I've had my share, man I've been everywhere I've been to Reno Chicago Fargo Minnesota Buffalo Toronto Winslow Sarasota Wichita Tulsa Ottawa Oklahoma Tampa Panama Mattua La Paloma Bangor Baltimore Salvador Amarillo Tocapillo Pocotello Amperdello I'm a killer I've been everywhere, man I've been everywhere, man Crossed the deserts bare, man I've breathed the mountain air, man Travel...I've had my share, man I've been everywhere I've been to: Boston Charleston Dayton Lousiana Washington Houston Kingston Texas County Monterey Fairaday Santa Fe Tollaperson Glen Rock Black Rock Little Rock Oskaloussa Tennessee Tinnesay Chickapee Spirit Lake Grand Lake Devil's Lake Crater Lake For Pete's sake I've been everywhere, man I've been everywhere, man Crossed the deserts bare, man I've breathed the mountain air, man Travel...I've had my share, man I've been everywhere I've been to Louisville Nashville Knoxville Omerback Shereville Jacksonville Waterville Costa Rock Richfield Springfield Bakersfield Shreveport Hackensack Cadallac Fond du Lac Davenport Idaho Jellico Argentina Diamondtina Pasadena Catalina See what I mean I've been everywhere, man I've been everywhere, man Crossed the deserts bare, man I've breathed the mountain air, man Travel...I've had my share, man I've been everywhere I've been to Pittsburgh Parkersburg Gravelburg Colorado Ellisburg Rexburg Vicksburg El Dorado Larimore Adimore Habastock Chadanocka Shasta Nebraska Alaska Opalacka Baraboo Waterloo Kalamazoo Kansas City Sioux City Cedar City Dodge City What a pity I've been everywhere, man I've been everywhere, man Crossed the deserts bare, man I've breathed the mountain air, man Travel? 10. Love the sig line! Hmmm, where have I run into that situation before?
  11. Seems no matter what ya post, someone will tear it apart, so.... Tomorrow, the sun will rise in the East and set in the West. (Let's see how long before someone actually debates this! Oh, and they will....)
  12. Yes. Here are my coordinates to a cache: ... Only people who don't write silly posts can see this. What's silly? I was asking a legit question...what's with the 'tude?
  13. No, no, not at all...just wondering if there are any caches out there, that have a bit of an extreme 'finders requirement' on them (not talking about 'members only' caches)....
  14. Man, I bet liquid nails or JB Kwik would hold that sucker on forever...
  15. Could a cache be placed that requires its finders to be owners of Magellan GPS units? Or Garmin? Or, even more extreme, to be of a certain ethnicity or race? Are there any already in place?
  16. By the way, if no one ever logged one of my caches online, that would be alright with me...as long as they signed the cache logbook and had a good time hunting for it, that's what matters anyhow... I would call that a success for both of us!
  17. Actually, it seems most of the responses have the attitude of: It's all about me, and my cache, and you BETTER log it online, or you are: A child A leech A cache maggot Banned. That last one makes me laugh! Yea, that's it, let's BAN everyone who doesn't log online. We can start with Dave Ulmer, the Inventor of this whole geocaching thing... The OP gave his reasons for not logging online, he came in here and posted his thoughts...isn't that what the forums are for? Just because every post isn't to your liking, don't go and throw a hissy fit about it... He just made a post and look what kind of grief he is getting for it. Gimme a break.
  18. Waa waa waa...nice to see the mob jump all over someone and DEMAND the game be played 'their way'...
  19. It's a great looking coin, and it actually relates to our sport, unlike so many others that I have seen coming out lately! GREAT job on the coin!
  20. I would. And I have. Go for it.
  21. I think it's a great idea, as long as the cache is available 24 hours a day, and you don't HAVE to buy anything in order to find or log the cache, or go inside the business to find it.... Putting discount cards or coupons in caches has been going on for a long time since the beginning of this game. Just the other day I got a free combo meal at Chik-Fil-A, thanks to a 'free meal coupon' that was a FF prize in a cache. I say go for it!
  22. I brought some kids along once, but when they kept screaming for help and for their parents, I had to let them go...
