  1. I had a great time on the hike and I'm already making plans to go camping again at Bumping Lake. Yeah, not so sure I'll do that trail again anytime soon, but the views were completely worth it! Wish I could have camped Saturday night as well and hung out with everyone a bit longer. Great group of people! I can't wait for the next adventure. My pictures are here.
  2. Wish I could but I'll be on my way back to Seattle for my roommate's birthday dinner after the hike. I'm totally down with sharing some smores on Friday night though. Btw - who's swimming out to get GCPWDY with me?
  3. I'm still up for Mt. Aix since it's on my list of to-dos. I did the trek to Camp Muir last week to train for Aix.
  4. Jeep! Jeep! Jeep! It's as though I can already see you in one... Just be careful about taking pictures while you're driving. In all seriousness though. Get the Jeep.
  5. I just booked site 47 for Friday night. I'll have to head back to Seattle after the hike so won't be staying Saturday night. Looking forward to it!
  6. I'm likely in for camping on Friday as well. Sounds like fun!
  7. I definitely want to do the hike and I think I might actually be in town that day!
  8. Nope, you can't do a batch move either into or out of your collection. That needs to be an option, otherwise it is very time consuming. It took me almost an hour to move mine from a cache to a collection. This has been brought up with the development team, so hopefully in time this functionality will exist.
  9. There is a similar thread in the geocaching website forum, feel free to post in either location. Two things already noticed: a need for the ability to move part or all of your trackables into/out of your collection at one time and to have a 'current location' column on the inventory/collections pages.
  10. As the owner of a trackable, you will now have the option to set the status of your Trackables to "Collectible" or Non-Collectible." This will help move any of your owned trackables out of your inventory when you're logging a cache. For information on how the new feature works, please see this Knowledge Book article. Let us know what you think of the feature and if you have any questions or concerns.
  11. Only a few days away now - can't wait! I need to load my gps with caches in Astoria. Does anyone have any must-do cache suggestions for the area?
  12. I've decided I need to host my first geocaching event - what better place than Astoria! What better time, than the Goonies 25th Anniversary. If anyone has any suggestions for me on how to make it the best event ever, let me know.
  13. pinehurst: What was the ticket ID on the email submitted? I'll be happy to look into this further for you. I assure you, we get well over 50 emails a day so the message you received was accurate. As the weather gets nicer, our email volume only increases.
  14. When is it due to be removed? That is one cache I've definitely wanted to find.
  15. "The trouble with being punctual is that nobody's there to appreciate it." See you on Sunday!!
  16. Don't you just love finding out a product is cheaper than you thought when you go to the register? I'll talk to our designer and get that updated, meanwhile, the banner ad has been deactivated.
  17. I completely forgot about my Sunday soccer league starting up again and since I missed the first game this last weekend, I can't miss this weekend's game. I'll still plan to hike up to the ledge with everyone and then head back down on my own. Wish I could do the whole ridge hike!
  18. Oooh, I've wanted to do this! I will try to make it to this one.

    Geocoin Name

Good catch. I'll submit this as a feature request to our dev team.
  20. Feel free to send an email to contact@geocaching.com and put it attention Annie and I can look into this for you as well.
  21. I just wanted to let you know that I have contacted Rising Sun Mint in regards to the issues presented in this thread. The coin codes on their geocoins should be active on geocaching.com. If anyone else runs into issues with the tracking numbers or activation codes, please send an email to contact@geocaching.com. Put the email attention to me and I’ll be happy to work with Rising Sun Mint to get the issue resolved. I am now managing Groundspeak's trackable item code program, so if you ever have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me. Happy caching! Annie
  22. I'll second the recommendation for the Mausoleum cache - it's an awesome location to visit. It's one of those "Wow, I never would have found that if it weren't for geocaching!" locations for me. I did go on a whale watching cruise out of Friday Harbor a couple of years ago and it was really awesome. Friends and I went to Lime Kiln Point to see if we could see any whales from there - we didn't, but we also didn't stay very long. Either way, that place is definitely worth visiting. I know there are kayak whale watching tours up there, but you're less likely to see the whales doing that than you are with the boat trip.

Is this the option you're looking for? When you click on that, you'll add the filters you'd like to the Pocket Query - the less you put on, the more caches you'll receive based on what you see on the map.
