  1. I agree entirely. This is a pretty cool hobby, and I am new at it too. This cache was right near my home, and granted, we do have some pretty hard winters around here with alot of snow. But it still does not explain the very little interest in this cache. I found it this springtime after 6 months of non-visitation rights! What is up with that? It still only gets about one visitor a month, and there are a million people that live within a half hour drive of it! http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...=y&decrypt=
  2. Although I have not yet searched for it, I know that there is a cache "indoors" at a nearby university. There are a large number of long underground tunnels between the campus dorms and the other school buildings. Apparently they are all open to the general public. The cache site describes how the GPS takes you to one of the tunnel entrances, and then after that you need to follow hand written notes (that you need to copy down ahead of time) that will guide you the rest of the way. It says your GPS will not operate underground. Sounds cool!
  3. Our local army/navy store just moved into new dig's, the owner just bought an old empty grammar school (yeah the whole school) and has a huge inventory in the classrooms and the old gymnasium. Cool place. It is on Rt. 5 in Dunkirk, NY on Lake Erie. "Old Sarge's Drop Zone" I just bought a 30 cal ammo box for $4.00, and the 50 cal were $6.00. Nice deal! He also sells online, just email him for small quantities. http://www.oldsargesdropzone.com/products.php?scatid=44
