Here is the NOG Northern Ontario Geocachers We are based in Sudbury but have members from all over the north 5 of us placed these 41 caches to create our Logo Stunt Caches vary in Difficulty and Terrain. We Can be found at nog.upnorthtracks.com Come on up and try them out No one has completed them in 1 day as of yet... Sounds like this may be a good challenge...

Rosegirl2003 and I attended both mazes and never recieved a souvenir icon for either of them....also there was no cache or log book for the maze in Sudbury specifically but there is a cache on site that was there before the exhibit...GC1VG7V...

I tried Highlighting the cache co-ords on the cache page,right clicked it and I was able to open up the location with Bing map. The location was pushpinned and I got a great arial view and sat views with fairly good zoom in...I check it against my caches and the locations came up very close....Try that....

It seems alot of people are upset......You want to make a change....Stop buy Geocoins ......Stop buy trackble dog tags.....Stop buying any geocahing materials all together........How about all the cash they make off the geocaching paraphenalia.....Stop buying it for a while from anywhere....Do you think the Distributors will be happy....I think not....Stop moving TB`s....Stop logging finds.....Stop listing new caches..Stop listing new events.....Stop attending the HQ`s events.....What if all cachers stopped using the site all together....THEN WHAT WOULD THEY DO......WE ARE THIS SITE....WE HIDE THE CACHES....WE MOVE THE TRACKABLES....WE PAY FOR THE SERVICE....WE NEED A VOICE.....

Thx this worked well when the skies cleared, but I am still sure the ceiling level affects the gps...

Had a great day today. Found 3 caches despite the snow.....Even had Joanne digging around.....lol....Got stumped on 2 others but I think it was cause the clouds were rolling in...1 cahe I found gps said I was 23 feet from it when I had it in my hand.....Would a low ceiling affect gps accuracy.....first cache this morning, gps accuracy was a foot when I found it.....Why is it that sometimes I get sent in a big circle after several minutes of trying to locate the coordinates,,,,,,like I think I am getting close, after I hold still for a while I get a 10 feet oposite direction signal....so change to new location.... anyway walk around in a circle of about 40 foot diameter....and still get different readings...Are gps s affected by proximety to airports.....

Yes it is Splashy but I sure learned that gps in the last 3 days....I think I can go get lost now and find my way home.....lol

Turns out guys that garmin has a glich in the City Nav for Canada Only Map....the download they send you has the wrong file name...and also 1 file is NFG....I got of hold of GArmin tech and he emailed me the new file and changed the name on the other file and BAMMMMM all is well...Sorry if I offended anyone during my frustrated last 3 days and thank you all for the info.....

please read previous posts.....Im getting confused...... 1: Bought Colorado 300 with Basemap 2: Regitered with Garmin 3: Bought Map from Garmin site as a downloadable file....no SD card included....HAd 2gb SD card for download 4: File is on SD card(confirmed) 5: Colorado does not read SD card

Ok so I moved the file from the SD card to the Garmin folder in C:...sorry 4 being so persistent but I am getting frustrated after 3 days of this thx 4 your help fegan

Hey fegan, I do have a garmin folder in C: but not D: that would be the same right

Its a colorado not an oregon if that makes a difference

It does I ran that and a bunch of other updates a few times just to make sure everything was right.....I usb the gps to the computer when garmin asks without SD card in gps, click on download, garmin website says insufficient space as colorado only has 370mb or so and map is 484mb, but offers other options, as in sd card, so put 2gb sd card in gps, click other options from garmin website, garmin accepts option and begins download......2.5 forking hours( times 5 now).....when completed Garmin website says go to map options to confirm map transfer, go there and only available map is Basemap that came with gps, sd card is in gps with file but does not show up in map option page to select.....Sorry this was long....

How do I do that since the file is automatically downloaded to my gps from the garmin web site without giving me an option to where the file goes.......

It does not show up in my Garmin folder, but I know 4 sure it is on the SD card, I pulled the SD card and checked it manually and it shows a file 484mb big...named canada_2010_30.img file on the SD card

yes it is there on the sd card but I cant select it on my gps as it only shows the basemap as a map option. how do I access the sd card in my gps to get the map onto my gps

I downloaded the map from Garmin web site, loaded a 2 gb sd card in the colorado and the download went to the card in my gps

I registered my unit with Garmin and when I go to the manage my downloads it tells me to download the map again, so far I did it 5 times even formatted the SD card and tried again to no avail.....Im getting frustrated...

The map is called City Nav North America NT Canada only. I downloaded it directly from the garmin site with an SD card in my Colorado, as the web site said the colorado memory was insufficient and it gave me an option to download to an sd card so I did.
