Well, it involved planning using GSAK and memory map, then enough stupidity to go caching for 24 hours without a break... Although, it did end up to be 38 hours without sleep fo me.... for one reason or another! D@mn (edited for the daft forum filter) good fun though, thanks to all for your messages. Matt

You may have heard about the succesful day of multiple meets in February, as the evening meet was such a good laugh, I've decided to do it all again! So clear your diaries on 15th July and let me know if you can make it to the Romper Inn, I'll need to know approximate numbers a few days before to let the pub know. The meet will start about 7pm and carry on till closing. The Cache page can be seen here. All are welcome, and if you are travelling from further afield, there is a Travelodge less then 0.2 miles from the meet. Matt

I may well be interested depending on the day!

UPDATE for all those attending for the weekend. HoB have informed me that there is a large BBQ on site which will accomodate us all, so you don't need to take all the BBQ grills with you. The camp site is fantastic and the weather beautiful... Get the beers in, I'll see you all there! Matt (HoB messenger)

The origin of the brand name Shell is linked to the origins of The "Shell" Transport and Trading Company. In 1833, the founder's father, also Marcus Samuel, founded an import business to sell seashells to London collectors. When collecting seashell specimens in the Caspian Sea area in 1892, the younger Marcus Samuel realised there was potential in exporting lamp oil from the region and commissioned the world's first purpose built oil tanker, the Murex, to enter this market. By 1907 the company had a fleet of oil tankers. The Shell emblem is one of the most familiar commercial symbols in the world. Known as the "Pecten" after the sea shell, the giant scallop, Pecten maximus, on which its design is based -
Any Interest In A Possible Cache Event ?
badger replied to Cave Troll and Eeyore's topic in United Kingdom and Ireland
I tend to read most of the top 10 most recent threads. I just thought the cache page was more relevant for this type of update. The question I asked was "Can you not just update the cache page and add a weekly update here?" BTW, many happy returns for your birthday, hope you have a good day. -
