I got this rino as a gift just wanted to see what your thoughts were should I add city navigator or topo instead of the base map

Ok Im new to caching I have a Garmin Rino 530 I went caching today This was my first time caching didnt find anything I tried 2 other caches in my area I got to the spot but didnt find anything, but llike I said it was my first time out so I was a little nervous But I go back and look a little harder now a few question 1. Do I use the base map that came with it or should I Load my cities and streets program 2 Is their anyone in athens tn area that would like to meet up and give me a hand and show me some basics
