I fully understand cost control, but I hope this doesn't bite Groundspeak like what happened with the whole Netflix fiasco.

I'm usually all for any type of 'spin' we can put on this great hobby. I enjoy going for FTF's when I can...if I'm doing something else, oh well. Something like this will appeal to the 'hounds' and not to others. So be it. Just like puzzle or multi-stage. I know some cachers that avoid those like the plague just because of extra effort. Each to their own. Why not give this a shot, if it doesn't work out, then back out of it.

Some type of 'scale or distance' legend is a huge requirement. Please bring back ASAP.

OK, thought I was missing something, but guess others noticed as well. No legend appears on any maps for distance (ft, miles, etc). So while zooming in and panning, I have nothing relating to distance. In my humble option, this is a major flaw. I use the scale as a 'quick reference' for hiding caches in a busy area. As well as a general idea of 'zoom factor' while reviewing a map.
