  1. Hi there, Many thanks to Akkatracker, who has taken all of these geocaches. Regards, Charl
  2. Hi there, I haven't had time to geocache lately and it looks like I'll have even less free time soon. So I thought I'd better pass my geocaches onto people who can look after them. All these geocaches are five to seven years old. Some have been found hundreds of times, some are in historical and interesting places and most have fantastic views from ground zero. Please have a look at the list and send me a message if you'd like to adopt them. 3. Hi all, For years, Tolkien Tree has been the most, or one of the most, frequently found caches in Australia and New Zealand. Tolkien Tree is located in the middle of Sydney and has seen many international travel bugs and hundreds of interesting visitors pass through. A cool cache and I'm sad to let it go, but I don't have time to look after it right now. Would anyone like to adopt Tolkien Tree? Right now, it appears to need a new cache box (less than 24 hours after I replaced it) and it may possibly need to be relocated so that it isn't Muggled so easily. Please email me through geocaching.com if you'd like to own Tolkien Tree. Regards, Charl
  4. There are four geocaches located near Narita. The closest one is near the Holiday Inn about a 20 minute walk from Terminal 2. Here is the link - http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...f6-793dbc3d69da Have fun. Thanks! :-)
  5. Hi there, I'm going to be in Japan for 6 days for a wedding, coming via Narita in Tokyo and going to Hanno, a few hours west of Tokyo. I'll be carrying a Canadian travel bug that is meant to go to Japan. Could anyone please recommend an easy cache, that I can access without a car, next to Narita or Hanno? Thanks! Charl

    Stat Bar

200 pixels is not a 'miniscule' width. For instance, it makes putting the stat bar into the side bar of a 3 column Word Press theme very difficult. We need the option for a 88 x 31 pixels stat bar.

    Stat Bar

I think the stat bar is a wonderful idea and I like being able to change what it says and choose the logo. The only problem is there is no choice of width. A wide image like the stat bar can really throw a page into disarray. Will there be any option for choosing the size of the stat bar in the future? Does anyone have any tips for changing the image size apart from putting in things like width="156" height="50" that warp the shape of the image and make the text hard to read?
  8. I just bought a 60CS, but because I own a Mac, I cannot upload the trip and waypoint manager software. This means I'm unable to upload waypoints, so I have a pretty device that I cannot actually use for geocaching. I can't get Virtual PC to work, so I need a piece of Mac software that can replace the trip and waypoint manager. Has anyone managed to upload waypoints to a 60CS via a Mac?
  9. I would try e-mailing RobertLipe, GPSBabel author and guru. I'm sure he can point you in the right direction. He frequently drops by this forum, but an e-mail might be quicker. He is very knowledgable and helpful. Thanks, I'll try that.
  10. Thanks for the tips, everyone. I'm using an iBook, so I can't use the WinXP tips, but I'll see about adapting them for the Mac. I've got GPSBabel on my iBook but I'm getting the following error message: Sorry, download from GPS receiver failed no matter how I fiddle with the software. Has anyone had this error before? How did you fix it?
  11. Anybody there? Anyone who uploads waypoints to their Foretrex 101?
  12. I've just got a Garmin Foretrex 101 and the cables to connect it to the USB port on my iBook but I'm having trouble uploading waypoints into it. I suspect the software I'm using (gpsWrite) doesn't work with a Foretrex 101. What software do you use to upload waypoints onto your Foretrex?
