  1. "Best" and "cheap" are usually mutually exclusive.
  2. I just came across this very same situation. A cache originally placed in 7/23, which I found in 12/23, went missing and the CO replaced it in 3/24, changing the placed date to 3/24. So how did I find it three months before it was placed?
  3. One of mine has a card saying "Please keep it in the USA." It has been roaming around Europe for a year and a half.
  4. On Geocaching.com, In the left sidebar > Friends > View Friends
  5. How about a friend or family member. (non-cacher)?
  6. Ditto. (Not really a geocaching term, but I liked "plasma bandits."
  7. I had a cache in a local park which was moved by the groundskeepers when they cut down a lot of undergrowth. I then had to "find" the cache -- and bring a ladder to retrieve it. Afterwards I archived it.
  8. Yes , caches that are "unique" are highly favorited and also copied. I have a Bookmark List of "Buried caches" and when I read through the logs, I see a lot of "I'm going to hide one like that."
  9. Get your self out and find those caches.
  10. List maintenance does not work in SAFARI. I have had success using CHROME.
  11. 1) Do not use maps!! Maps are good for checking that your coordinates are reasonable , but for actually taking coordinates use a good GPS coordinates app or a handheld GPS unit. 2) Someone mentioned different format--that would be my guess also.
  12. You can always ask the CO for help. As creator of several puzzle caches, I would want to know what you have already tried; then I am always willing to give a push in the right direction. If the CO is unresponsive, you can ask a previous finder.
  13. I also have been unable to manage lists in Safari. Switch to Chrome and they work fine.
  14. Sometimes things take a little while to get caught up. Also logging out and then logging back in solves a lot of issues.
  15. One of my trackables was placed in a remote cache in January 2017. The cache has had 3 Finds and an OM since then. No one has mentioned the presence of a trackable in the cache. Another was placed in a cache in February 2018. No Finds since then. I have marked both of these as Missing.
  16. Having passed my 81st birthday and 20th cacheversary, a lot has changed. I used to be an avid cyclist, but have given up bike riding altogether, because of balance issues and fear of falling. I used to enjoy hiking, but now I'm limited to very short (maybe half a mile at most) walks on a basically level surface. I'm just glad that I can get out at all; I know a lot of people my age who can barely walk around their homes.
  17. I had one "safely" tucked into the fork of a tree, but it kept getting thrown out onto the ground. I suspected squirrels.
  18. You can log a DROP in one of the caches you own, then you'll be able to mark it MISSING.
  19. If you are missing something, so am I. I know it used to not work at all, maybe it still doesn't--I haven't tried it for years. Start over.
  20. The Owner Maintenance log is supposed to be used when the CO has performed some sort of maintenance, not just thinking about it. "I will get out there this week" is properly a WRITE NOTE not an OWNER MAINTENANCE.
  21. IMO, "joint" accounts between spouses are iffy, all others are a bad idea. (I originally wrote "cheating" but changed it to "bad idea")
  22. I was one of the finders who posted coordinates--but that is irrelevant to the issue, which has now been solved.
