  1. well, the 2 caches that i found them in both were said to have travel bugs, but neither had the metal dog tag type that i was thinking they would be and i have seen before. (i have found 2 of those so far and logged them both.) these plastic bugs (that i found saturday) have no type of numbers or anything......??? i did look at that link, and didn't see what i was looking for and was pretty sure i saw last week..... peace, bonblu

    LPC?

funny....one that we found on saturday was named "el pc"...and the hint was this "el" is not spanish.... it took me a bit to and saying "what el is not spanish?" duhhh!! looked under 1 and found a critter hidiung there...slammed that cover down pretty quickly...i'm not sure if was a squirrel or a rabbit, or what...all i know is it was hairy, and took up most of the space under the side i peeked into......i think it tried not to move so perhaps i wouldn't see it hiding there.....lol!!
  3. i grabbed 2 this weekend...one is a little yellow lady bug looking bug(black with a yellow back and black dots on the back), the other is a bigger fly,.... i have seen pics of these somewhere.....i'm sure of it, but today i can't find where i saw them before.... are these "special" bugs of some sort? thanks,
  4. is there a way to sort these when i do a search? (say i want to see all caches in a northwest direction within 15 miles)..... seems like it would make things easier to plan a day of geocaching..... thanks in advance.....
  5. i, too, have the garmin nuvi 1300.....i'm still getting used to what it can and can't do and how i get it to do/show what i want it to do/show me. but, i've been having lots of success with it.....it leads me to within a couple feet and from there i can usually find the cache! good luck and happy caching! bonblu
  6. i went out yesterday and entered coordinates into my gps. hit "done" after entering long and again after entering lat. then hit "go" and it showed the coordinates i just entered.... so i headed in the direction it showed me, ended up "not too close" to where cache had to have been. went back to check coordinates from what i entered, and they were not the same.... can anyone tell me what i might be doing wrong? thanks!
  7. ok....i will do that....thanks (of course with my luck yesterday, i won't find this one either!)
  8. in this situation, shouldn't it be moved back to where it's "supposed" to be?? i want to go looking for this one this evening if i have time.....if i find it, should i move it? thanks, bonblu
  9. is there a place to help with solving puzzles to access caches??
  10. who do we contact for indigo group? thanks, bonblu
  11. i saw on a post from late december, that there was a 30 day free trial offer. i don't recall seeing this when i first set up my account (but i could have marked it without realizing what i was doing.) it doesn't show when i log in, and i don't see it on the Groundspeak site...???? FOUND similar post from someone else---SUCCESSFULLY DOWNLOADED FREE TRIAL! thanks, bonblu
  12. Maybe you should make some hides, with him the only one that has the coord's for him to find and then when he finds it, you could give him a Treat. lol!!
  13. thanks....read the link... he has mentioned that we should quit "looking" for caches all the time and actually "hide" some of our own.....maybe that's the new angle to get him hooked! bonblu
  14. geocaching is a waste of time.....but i enjoy it! (i'm still new at it.) when i was tell ing him about this one cache we had to locate (we had to find the tombstone of the family that was murdered, then find the cache 57 feet away at a 45° bearing), he was a little more conducive to the idea.... or when i told him about the history lessons that can be learned, he lightened up a little more.... and i talked about the walking and exercising that i can get in by taking long walks in parks, etc..... can anyone help me convince him to join me instead of knocking my new hobby?? thanks!
  15. how do you find your local reviewers? thanks...
