  1. Map source is a waypoint/map manager only. It contains only the base map (I think). If you want detailed maps you have to buy the actual maps which come in different variety's for example City Navigator, City Select, 24K Topo, Topo USA, etc... . Some of the maps have to unlocked for individual GPSr units and some don't. Hope that helps.
  2. Lets see, you're looking for the location of something. It sorta sounds like a caching or maybe Waymarking question to me. Edit:Speeling
  3. I got mine from here Caplink. It's the only dealing I've ever had with them, but I was happy. Edit: To fix link.
  4. If you are using a map you need to be sure that your GPSr is set the same as the map. That being said a usually use magnetic so I don't have to do any converting to use a regular compass (don't forget declination). By the way a magnetic compass is a handy little tool to have while geocaching. Hope that helps.
  5. I have no advice but I will say welcome to the addiction er.. I mean hobby.
  6. You may have that map turned off. go to the map setup menu and turn the particular map you wish to use on and it should work. Timpat: I don't think enroute will work without an autorouting/unlocked gps. I started a thread about this here Link and this seems to be the general consensus. Edit:spelling
  7. The only problem with that is that the unlock for my 76cs is the second (long story).
  8. I cant get turn about to install (the installer keeps crashing for some reason). I'll have to try it again some time later. Lil devil I probably overlooked that. Again I'll have to try it when I get time. Thanks all RyND
  9. Have you tried cachmate on it yet, I just looked and mine says it only using 993kb. If you got enough room for it I'm sure you could use a small db of caches on it. I'd at least try the demo before I went out and bought a new palm.
  10. I've downloaded and installed Turnabout for IE, and I've downloaded the greasemonkey script. Now what do I do? Thanks in advance Edited to add: Hemlock I disagree I think that a newbe could just pick the format that maches what there GPSr is set to. IMHO
  11. Ok now we need this option in our pqs.
  12. Which means it wouldn't auto route ?
  13. Or let it be an option to display the format of our choice.
  14. That looks like there might be some hope after all. I'm just going to have to find the time to try it to see if it will work. Again thanks for the info.
  15. That's what I thought, you can"t use enroute without a compatible Gps. Thanks for all the help.
  16. Yes I have the maps. I'm not sure but it seems like with Mapsource (before enroute) as soon as I activated the gps 12 the maps went to base map like detail. I know routing and ever thing works in enroute with my 76 but I'm not sure if it will work with another GPSr. I haven't had the chance to test it and was curious if any body else had. If it does it would be cheaper than buying another routing GPS and the software to go with it. Does any body know if the GPS 18 requires an unlock code.
  17. Will nroute work with non routing/maping/non Garmin GPSr. More spacificly will it work with my GPS 12 and allow me to see full map detail or will it only work with my GPSmap 76cs or anouther unit that has an unlock code with it.
  18. Welcome to your new addiction!
  19. I got mine from here Caplink. It's the only dealing I've ever had with them, but I was happy.
  20. Geocaching is like sex- I can't get my wife to do ether.
