  1. What GPSr Make and Model do you use?: Garmin GPSMAP 62s On a scale of 1 (terrible) to 10 (best) what would you rate your GPSr?: 8 What is the best feature of your GPSr you like best?: The durability is excellent; but most of all the 'pages' feature allows you to navigate and customize the menus What is the worst thing about your GPSr?: Its not a knock against the unit, more the Garmin notion of additional map purchases and licenses. Essentially if you purchase a map for your unit it is not transferable if you hapen to purchase a new unit. (Format: Download and DVD) If you purchase the Micro SD format you may transfer them between compatible devices, however you have to keep track of those little guys. And finally, If you were to get a new GPSr, which one would you want next?: To be honest of all the garmin products I like my current GPSr, however some of the Delorma models are nice and their 'Map Subscription Service' is very attractive in comparison to Garmin's map restrictions.
  2. Just a maintenance note: If your VFF start to get the "VFF Stank" - Efferdent; one tablet per foot soak 15 minutes in warm water. Rinse and let air dry. Best results after a normal washer or hand washing session. They practically smell brand new. Have tried this with both black and white VFF - neither were tinted or stained as you might read on other blogs - but please beware its a small possibility.
  3. What days do you have selected for these PQs to run on?
  4. I recommend you take the oppurtunity to hold the GPS unit and work through the features. I have a garmin oregon 300 - love it - except I would have not purchased a touch screen GPS if I had played with it more and found that in cold weather with gloves you can't do some gestures without taking off your gloves. I agree with MPiltchfamily in that Garmin and Magellin seem to be leading the pack. There is a site I was reviewing today that has a delorme at the top of recreational GPS rating - but the learning curve is said to be steep with using a delorme - that is just hear say - I do not have an opinion or actual experience with a Delorme GPS unit. Hope this link helps: http://gps.toptenreviews.com/recreation/
