  1. Let's not forget the other option. Ignore list and move on.
  2. the most likely result of that policy would be to load all the ones that need maintenance into GSAK and with a couple of clicks log a owner maintenance log to clear it up. It they are the type of cacher that doesn't maintain their caches there is no reason to believe they will do it under the conditions described.
  3. Then you have great eyesite. I agree that many pages are two light a gray for my 70 year old eyes (and I'VE had both lens replaced). I use chroTme so this extension helps. I just wish multiple presses would keep darkening but it just does one level. Darken Text
  4. Since he only has 7 caches it makes sense to him. Let him put put 25 more and see how he feels.
  5. While a PQ comes with the corrected coordinates there is nothing in the file that says they are corrected so any program (GSAK) receiving the file has no way of knowing they have been corrected. The corrected flag does come when you use the API call. Since you use GSAK you should probably use the macro "Import waypoints from a GC.com bookmark via API" that can be found in the Macros section of the forum.
  6. That distance is less than the EPE on most GPSrs.
  7. Seems like I'll get a faster resolution that way. Thought someone might want to fix it properly, but maybe they don't monitor the forums for bug reports. Thanks. I would disagree with that Mount10Bike is always taking care of issues that come up here proactively. This is the same as the general souvenir issue that if you log in a country or state or date accidentally and get that souvenir then later go back and delete the log it doesn't remove the souvenir from your system. He even used some of his archived caches to do it to avoid detection. Just cheating himself but not some are more interested in getting the souvenir than earning it.
  8. Most everyone i know writes a new log when they fininsh a challenge. That is more accurate recprd of what happenes.
  9. Applications like GSAK or websites like Project-GC have tools to map the challenge and show you what you want.
  10. I on the other hand only correct on the website but I exclusively use the API. If you are using PQ's than correcting in GSAK works better. Also by correcting on the website they are corrected if wherever I go and whatever computer I am on.
  11. There are ways to do it using third party apps but sharing would violate the terms you agreed to when you got a membership. There are a limited number of exceptions but I don't think what you want to do would apply. Some with more detailed knowledge will soon chime in with the exact terms.
  12. I don't read rhe description until i have been unable to find it. Most descriptions nowadays don't have any useful info snyhow.
  13. In GSAK go to Tools, Options, Display and check the box Corrected Coordinate Indicator. That will display the field and if you use API calls the yellow triangle will appear there.
  14. Since you are using GSAK your choice of PQ's is causing the problem. PQ's have the corected coordinates but no indicator that they are. Use an API call from the geocaching access.com menu above and they will load and show corrected in GSAK
  15. This complaint has come up many, many times and there doesn't seem to be a solution. I think I have this right but they will show in the correct location on the cache page but not in the big one. If you run a PQ they will be in the new location then drop them into a mapping program to view.
  16. Did you perhaps log from a phone and when it didn't respond quickly hit the send again? That has come up before as a cause.
  17. I love it when someone thinks that something universal belongs to their culture. Asking a second (of which he has more than that now) is a human quality not specific to any nation. I also am reminded of one of the definitions of insanity "doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results" which is what he will be doing as he seeks his 5th opinion. At some point he needs to realize he has his answer and move on.
  18. Youve already heard from a reviewer (Keystone). Reread his response because it is gospel.
  19. You might try Google with a search like this site:geocaching.com Scoobert That will look in logs, caches owned and pretty much everywhere for that name.
  20. That guestion might be better addressed on the GSAK forum at GSAK forum
  21. Not a GSAK issue actually. GS makes your Access Token expire every so often and has for some time. If you had the latest version of GSAK it would have started asking you to renew it about a week before it expired. So first get the latest. Then under the geocaching.com Access folder click get another token and follow the instructions.
  22. Once you put in the adoption request you have to cancel it to do it over. However if the adopter goes to the adopt page and puts in the GC code it works. If they aren't going to send the email they should take it off the website and give the correct procedure
  23. The title says it all. I was sending some out for adoption to a friend this morning. We were all together at Starbucks in the rain. They hadn't got the email by the time we left. As an experiment I sent another cache to my basic membership and after three hours still no email. When can I expect this to occur.
